Matt Damon Joins The Cast Of Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR

In an exciting piece of casting news, The Playlist have revealed that Matt Damon is the latest addition to the cast of Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. While details on the character he will play are of course being kept under lock and key, they do reveal that it will be a fairly minor role as Damon will only be on set - in Iceland - for two weeks of the four month shoot.

Already a thread: http://niketalk.com/t/520787/christopher-nolans-next-film-will-be-a-sci-fi-called-interstellar

For the Matthew McConaughey haters, have you seen any of his recent work? He's going through a pretty big career renaissance and is working with some of the best film makers in the industry, Nolan included. He's also one of the frontrunners so far for Best Actor with Dallas Buyers Club.

He's been some real good movies like Lincoln Lawyer and A Time to Kill. He also was good in Tropic Thunder IMO. But those where just awesome movies. Well written well directed. His acting skills are :rolleyes. I'll defiantly give it a watch of the strength of Nolan tho.

If anyone can pull off time travel correctly in a movie. It would be Nolan. In Nolan We Trust.
You say this as if time travel hasn't been pulled off "correctly" before (w/e correctly means).
Matthew McConaughey tho?
Great actor. Should be great in this as long as the writing is good.
Matthew McConaughey tho?

I had the same thought.

Not a fan of this guy at all.

I like McConaughey for some reason, even in his cheesy romcoms. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is one of my guilty pleasure films but he hasn't really done much of those films lately.

I think he'll do fine in Nolans direction too.

Can't wait and McConaughey is a really good actor when given the right material, he's been on fire the last couple years.

Looper was good, I enjoyed it very much.

Also The One with Jet Li was pretty good, though not really jumping from time to time but I liked the concept of alternate dimension and it's Jet Li so action was good.

Matthew McCaughey in Tropic Thunder was awesome! He always made sure Tugg Speedman had his TiVo.

How are y'all talking about time travel movies and terminator hasn't been mentioned yet?!

And I mean the original.. And t2

I don't rock with that guy man...A Time to Kill...and that's it.

Yeah T2 is actually probably the best of all. It's certainly my favorite, I just haven't seen it in a while so it didn't even come to mind. Also probably because T3 and Salvation sucked.
