THE THREAD ABOUT SKATEBOARDING.

this part gets me so hyped to go skate.

his trick tips are hilarious on the Ride Channel but he's the best one (imo) to really explain the trick and break it down.

BATB7 IS UP!

Then again dude said he wasn't used to all the pressure, which I can see.

Ronnie Creager doesn't ride for Blind anymore!

I have always thought that he was one of the most underrated technical skaters. His short part in Menikmati was probably one of the better parts in that skate video. Of course, I have to give props to Saari, Koston and Rodrigo's part as well but Ronnie did some real tech stuff on those benches.

I get nervous when there's more than two people watching me play skate, he should have been better prepared, he knew what he was getting into.

I would figure most guys who get that good are used to people watching them. Unless there's a growing trend of guys getting super good in their garages and basements now. I'm always amazed at how ppl land their tricks while there are filmers all over the place that could potentially get smacked by the board if they don't do it perfectly.

Games of skate where stuff like double flips and late flips/late shove-its start getting pulled out are the best!

Went out to Yokohama and points beyond to go hang out with some friends last night. I thought about taking my cruiser out to explore a bit or at least save the money I would have spent on a taxi from the station to the beach, but in the end it wasn't worth the trouble. Didn't make sense to carry my board while riding the train for over an hour (one way) and walking through narrow crowded streets just to roll around for maybe 20 minutes in a place where I have never been and didn't know if there'd be anything skatable anyway.

For those who know where the spots are, Yokohama looks pretty sick.

Just watched those BATB games.  I couldn't concentrate during the games because all I could think about was how much I hate Steve Berra.

Yeah, Berra's gotten pretty weird in the past few years. Or maybe it's that we didn't notice what a weirdo he was before when access was more limited. He kept touching the competitors and I couldn't help thinking he was gonna try convert them to Scientology or something later.

Plus, there was that story from Weekend Buzz where Chase Gabor, the filmer for the Berrics, talked about putting screwdrivers in other kids' buttholes. The video got deleted though.

The upside of a lot of pros, ams, ex-pros, filmers, photographers, etc. having stuff like Twitter and Instagram is that we can see a lot of cool pictures and footage all the time. The downside is having to put up with a lot of the uninteresting/annoying crap they post as well. And then there's all the dumb, sycophantic comments on all the posts.

I tried to Ollie for the longest time, twisted my ankle, gave up....

Might give it another try :nerd:

I'm pretty stoked on the new Ed Templeton Heritic's, I had the first one's and probably the second best shoe I had. wish I had my truck running so I could check out the screening he's having on his epicly later'd tomorrow.

After watching Ben Fisher's trick tip, I'm super hyped to learn switch wallies in the near future. "Just believe!"

Bonus: Ollie trick tip from Aldrin Garcia. Is he still the World Record holder? I haven't been keeping track.

Ollies take a while to get. Maybe just go around trying to pop your tail while riding around without doing the front foot scrape? Practice in the grass? Put your wheels in a crack in the sidewalk to stay stationary? Do some "Chinese nollies/ollies" to get the feel for the jump?

Chinese nollies are super fun if you find a spot with some good cracks in the sidewalk.

Ben Fisher should be pro. I like how he says "if you quit being a ***** and you just trust"

those crack nollies is something I'll never get

watched this PROD vid, not surprised his favorite shoe to skate is the 5, which is mine as well, aesthetically wise, his 1 and 3 are the best looking ones.

EDIT: I read on someone's IG that the PROD GOLD boards will be his new official skateboard and will be sold. can't find the IG to save my life, I seen it like a week or two ago.

Whatever the **** people speculate about Supreme, the buck stops here. Last night the box logo boys premiered “Cherry” by William Strobeck, their first video since 1995′s “A Love Supreme” by Thomas Campbell, and man was it good!

I couldn’t tell you what it was exactly, but there was magic, allure even. Maybe it was the Cypress Hill, Jane’s Addiction, The Cure, INXS, Raekwon-laden score (we’ll probably do a whole separate post on that alone), or director William Strobeck’s willingness to peer into the new generation of talented, limitless, un-wasted skate youth – or perhaps the combination of established riders like Rieder, Dill, Olson, Gonzales, Anderson, Koston and a slew of special guests, all making appearances and mind-blowingly sandwiching together a 20+ year legacy of skateboard counter culture?

It’s too much. Way too much to condense into a single post, so we won’t. But what we will do is show you the recap of “Cherry’s” premiere at East Village Cinema and afterparty at the Lower East Side’s infamous Pyramid Club (yeah, do your research).

And if you weren’t there, don’t fret, as the DVD will release at Supreme’s NY and LA stores this Thursday, March 20th and be available on iTunes come March 27th.

Video better not be $100 or even $40 :smh:
might head out to supreme Saturday and hope they have some copies.

Thanks for the help man, repped. I'll probably hop back on when the weather gets nicer.

I wonder how many people realized Supreme is a skateboard company

$20 USD probably means 4000円 JPY. Bleh. I'll go check Supreme next week. I'm not against Supreme per se, but maybe it's all the "oh my God, Supreme is so cool! I spent so much money there!" type of posts I see on Instagram? Call me old-fashioned but, $60 for a damn cotton T-shirt?!?!?! Sorry. I never checked the prices because I just assumed based on all the hype they got, but still...

Props to them for being able to maintain relevance 20 years later though. Regardless of the current state of Supreme, so many other brands have come and gone in that time.

At least those people aren't wasting their money on Abercrombie or Hollister.

Anyway, this Walker Ryan "Firing Line" was pretty cool in the way it was filmed. I think someone commented, either on YouTube or SLAP, that it was like the terrain was appearing as he was skating. I was just thinking it was like one of those zombie survival video games, especially when he skated past that random person that was walking by in the dark.

Random thought: DGK on next year's King of the Road? That Baby Scumbag kid could do all the make-out challenges, isn't that all he does anyway? But then again, can anyone on DGK skate transition well? Maybe if they did a Kayo team?

I saw that firing line earlier and thought the same thing, it was cool how the ground looks and how dark it is.
