***Official Breakfast Club Interview Thread***

Yea Ebro isn't bad at interviewing. Peter and cipha? :smh: their lives and Peter wife will somehow be the topic

"personal lives" is much different' than someone who has a long history of preying on children :smh:

Funny how If you're at the top of whatever your profession is most things will get disregarded by a large majority of the general public.

"Stop it son" CLEARLY was referring to him not being convicted therefore I don't think he did it ignore that TERRIBLE logic and debate his place in music  :smh:

Robert Kelly wasn't convicted of the case. So I don't think he did it. R. Kelly is arguably the greatest R&B singer of the past two decades. I could see why he is still relevant in 2014.

He did that ****.

That was him in the video. I can swear it was. But the jury & the judge all saw the same video we did. They said it wasn't him. They musta' saw something we didn't. So therefore, he didn't do it,

George Zimmerman wasn't convicted either.......

Totally different. George Zimmerman never denied that he didn't kill Trayvon. R. Kelly was on trial for years with crazy evidence and still wasn't convicted.

Stop it son.

U really don't think he was one of the greats????
All that other stuff aside
Love letter was a great album
Even tp3.com was on ooint
U really don't think he was a great

Tell em', yo.

I think Kells is a pedo.

I also think he is the greatest r&b singer of our generation. Crazy talented. Weird dude.

Can make a song about hood s***, sex, clubbing, church, sing rapping, dancing etc etc.

I'm conflicted cuz I think he did some horrible things. But his music is enjoyable.

What you said is very telling of the power of music

Kells did filthy ish. But that ignition/ happy people etc ... was so fire unfortunately nobody really cared

same thing with Micheal and his cases

people aren't so adamant about him not doing those things because they don't think he did them( which i don't think he did)

they're so adamant about it because if he did do it they'd still like his music and may even forgive him which makes them feel conflicted

and people just rather avoid that confliction

I agree. His personal choices aside.... Dude can go down arguably after Mike Jack, the greatest r&b singer we've seen.
Longevity, consistency, good material.

I Believe I Can Fly.... :frown:

The Boondocks episode 'The Trial of R.Kelly' says it all.. black people we love him , man. Go to ANY cookout and if you dont hear step in the name of love or happy people play once. Call the FBI on your way home, you were chilling with aliens.

Can we get a r Kelly appreciation thread. All his hits in one thread, I know I probably forgot about a few

nothing like some Rick Ross lying to make my day fly by

I lose respect (not that i have much for ross) for anyone especially black men willing to do business with RKelly dude is a piece of ****, a serial pedophile and should be spending his life in prison.

Oh

Stevie Wonder? Marvin? Smokey? Ronald Isley? Philip Bailey?

At least you mentioned Prince.

I'm sure there's more, which is why that kind of "best ever" hyperbole is always ridiculous to me.

Kelly absolutely had an insane run of great records.

And will forever get props from me for incorporating "slap boxing" into an R+B record ("I Wish" RMX).

Yea, your logic isn't flawed at all

Cant be overrated when you write & produce all your music, cant say that about those other dudes

He did it all, gospel,ballat,hiphop,pop,

Trapped in the closet was a genius move
cant even front

Trapped in the closet was revolutionary

Dude is one of the greatest writers weve seen

On some bob dylan steeze

YES I SAID IT

but they are

i think r kelly is overrated

Cant be overrated when you write & produce all your music, cant say that about those other dudes

You sound ridiculous right now.

And yes, R. Kelly worked with other writers and producers on his projects as well.

Allow me to continue to educate you.

Stevie Wonder has recorded more than 30 U.S. top ten hits and received 22 Grammy Awards, the most ever awarded to a male solo artist, and has sold over 100 million albums and singles, making him one of the top 60 best-selling music artists. In 2008, Billboard magazine released a list of the Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists to celebrate the US singles chart's 50th anniversary, with Wonder at number five.

By the way, they did that list again in 2013. Mariah had jumped over Stevie who was #6. R. Kelly was #69.

Usher, Prince, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Boyz II Men, Ray Charles, Commodores (Lionel Richie) all ranked ahead of him.

But I'm not out here claiming this guy is better than the next guy or that one guy is the "greatest we've ever seen".

I'm just pointing out the flaws in your train of thought.

They're all ******* great.

Nobody besides mj & MAYBE prince has the catalogue like kellz

U stop it

Have you ever heard of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, James Brown, Teddy Pendegrass, Al Green

You dudes sound dumb as hell

It's why I don't even respect the new generation of music listeners. You dummies know absolutely nothing about music, but try to have a GOAT or list for everything. From your vast knowledge of 20 years.

I hope you're trying to be funny. Because you truly sound ridiculous right now.

You realize you're comparing solo artists to individual players who compete in team sports?

Comparing a defensive rebounder to the greatest 2-way player in NBA history?

That was an intelligent parallel in your mind?

AND you got the nerve to tell other dudes to "give it up" with that struggle?
