***Official Breakfast Club Interview Thread***

I don't think anybody is debating trap or die being classic that's a given, we all know that or we are in denial. At the same time there was another trap legend somewhere putting in work getting it out the mud. He didn't have 2 record deals with the 2 biggest moguls in hip hop (jay n puff). Son was beefing with bmf, dissing jeezy, dissing hov, dissing wayne that's the easiest way to be hated at that time, going at everybody and everything street ****** love at that time. Fast forward 3 years dude is the front runner of trap music and is the biggest thing in rap 2008-2009. I'm not gon sit here and act like tod, 101, 102 weren't classics. I still bang tod at least once a month.

Saying all this to say @breakfastclub look how hard yall fell off. The last 5 or so pages not even talking about those bore fest interviews yall had lately
***** it's not them

gucci makes better chick songs than jeezy...Ti i cant say that because whatever you like & Lets get away are classics

TI, Gucci, and Jeezy are all legends imo
With that said, they've all lost a step. (Paperwork bangs tho)
Also, why is Gucci getting credit for Migos? If anything, that Drake cosign pushed their career forward.
In terms of movements, Jeezy>>>>>>>>>all. If you're from the South, I don't even have to explain how big Jeezy was during Trap or Die. I mess with all three. #FreeWop

Influencing ≠ putting on
Dudes were going to pop regardless with Versace and Hanna Montana.
That Drake feature introduced dudes to a whole new audience.
Matter fact, besides Dennis Rodman and Holmes what early song was Gucci on that boosted their career?
Neither of those just popped their career off like that.

Yeaaaaaa that's gucci favorite line
Migos was gonna be where they at with or without drake. Versace was gonna be the same song it was it jus put those hipster suburban kids onto the song. Dudes whole style is birthed by gucci and if u were hip to them before versace dudes were claiming 1017 heavy. Literally saying they were bricks quad on tracks, wop was the first dude to give them boys a chance before anybody heard of them boys.

Told dudes what drake do, he finds dudes with a buzz and hops on a remix and dudes give him credit. Tony montana? Future was already on his way, dudes name were all over the blogs. If u wanna be serious, the original Tony montana had a gucci shout out from jail at the beginning of the track wayyyyy before drake probably even knew who dude was.

You gotta realize they linked up with Zay for their first records that popped. Migos was in the studio with Gucci and the whole 1017 camp. These cats are from Gwinnett...and to be honest...if they don't have a gucci and zay co-sign...they aren't believable, cuz if you are from the A and you know Gwinnett ain't like that. Migos had a huge following in Gwinnett...with bando. Linked up with Zay, Gucci, OGD, etc etc and started skating on them Zay beats while working with 1017.

All that being said..Migos would've popped regardless cuz they talented. But gucci def helped them boys out. They were all ready hot. Drake just gave em a push. That's what he does.

"When Gucci called my manager that night it changed my life"

Gucci stamped em early i think thats how Coach K even linked up with them

They was repping 1017 Migo Gang hard as **** before YRN even dropped, putting they videos on livemixtapes front page with gucci in the screencap

You right tho Drake the biggest rapper out his co-sign put em on to a lot of people who would've never heard of them

Dudes really overrate these Drake co-signs. He can help but every time he jumps on something that song or rapper is already poppin. Son just knows how to jump on whatever is hot at that moment, not mad at him though.

All this about Gucci talk :smh:

That trap or die tape is a CLASSIC. This is coming from a new yorker

No one has ever finagled the mix tape game like 50, Jeezy, Wayne, Drake and Fab

If there was a H.O.F they'd be in it off top.

You're from New York and didn't mention Dip Set? They're the ones who paved the way from the DJ Clue, Envy, S&S era...and 50.

Dudes think cuz they never heard of said artist b4 drake he put em on. These artist already are on their way and have growing fan bases by that time. It's a reason he never drops a original song with em, it's always a remix to the song that's been buzzing.

bruh Drake is working this relevancy game effortlessly

Original work every year or so. But what ive noticed is his album singles dont spin continuously till his next drop

So what does he do

1.Do remixes to tracks that are already hot in certain areas

2. Collaborates with a buzzing artist on their 1st or second single off their debut album (Kendrick, YG, Meek)

3. Drop a freestyle or random song that didnt make the album months later
