Official [The Internet] Thread vol. Syd Tha Kyd & Matt Martians

^ i thought their 1st album had some gems but overall seemed underdeveloped... this album though is great, the production, the vocals, the continuity ... a great listen

Their last album was pretty lame..

totally respect your opinion

but :wow:

first time ive ever heard this :smh:
I wouldn't say it was "lame" but it definitely was a work in progress imo. Syd's vocals weren't all that great and some of the production was amateur-sounding.

But still, you could tell that they were on the path to making really, really good music. It's like sports when a young player shows flashes of greatness but can't do it consistently, then eventually they have that breakout year. When I first heard the song Dontcha posted earlier, I was like "okay, now they've got IT"

Checking out the album now for the first time, and I'm really liking what I hear :pimp:

Shadow Dance :pimp: :pimp:
Partners In Crime Pt. 2 :pimp: :pimp:

I feel like I need to light some incense and invite some natural haired nubian queens over and have them feed me grapes.

I love this album man, some of the tracks have such a jazzy feel. I be in my room two steppin to Dontcha  and Pupil/the patience is my favorite music to study to. My favorite song is probably Sunset though

Didn't know there was a thread on this album. Definitely one of my favorites from last year and a lot better than their first album.
