Dude has been on fire, and I'm sure we all know it.  He has dropped mixtapes that could be great albums for most artists, he is a producer, and one of the more lyrical MC's with a southern drawl.

The great Southern MC's are well known

Scarface

TI

3000

Big Boi

Bun B

Luda

I think KRIT has the potential to outdo all of them.  He has lyrics, production, and great content.

thoughts?

Iono if he has the potential to pass 'em but he can be in that group. Everything he puts out is great production wise and lyrically. His label gives no f**** but that hasn't stopped him from being one of the best in the game.

hes great as a producer, hes a good enough rapper, and he makes good songs, but he lacks originality.

I've heard the originality thing too, but honestly, alot of the stuff he makes alot of other rappers wouldnt touch.

All stuff that I wouldnt expect from most other southern rappers

Suffers from the same thing as Cole . . . his production sounds the same in everything he does . . . His sound is always the same

yes. Krit's mixtapes will go down as best of all time and right now he is the best, lemme say it again the best when it comes to this mixtape game. He is very very underrated. Imma bout to say it. Krit>kendrick right now.

He sticks to that southern soulful sound but they don't all sound the same. Some have a bounce to it, some are smooth and some are real calm sounding. Cole's beats don't have any life in them at all except for HiiPower.

Absolutely not, and I'm a big fan of KRIT.

Dude makes absolute bangers, but he's not all that lyrical, and for whatever reason I think GOAT and amazing lyrical ability go hand in hand.

Inb4 riots but Young Jeezy is the greatest down south rapper. He embodies all that the south is. Come at me bros

Not all that lyrical? I guess. Dude is my favorite out, and every mixtape has been a classic in its own right. For dude to write and produce, and not slack in either is admirable. If he were to quit rapping right now, he could easily have a double disc of greatest hits. No lie. Facts only. About him going down as a goat, we'll have to wait and see. He's on the right path though.

Best southern artist out now in my opinion. All time status he's behind Outkast, UGK, Scarface, Goodie Mob, and Ball & G

From a purely RAPPING standpoint, meaning flow, content, versatility, etc., I'd be hard-pressed to name a better Southern rapper than either of these fellas.......

But K.R.I.T. is definitely appreciated and is up there amongst the greats.  Dude's producing ability alone dwarfs the careers of a gang of rappers, Southern or not.
