I just watched a Let's Play on Quantum Break. I gotta admit I'm disappointed. Idk if it was the people playing or what but that joint looks extremely boring now. I was gonna buy it digital too so I could get a chance to play Alan Wake. I'll just keep the X1 in my son's room until Gears 4 and FH3 drop. QB was one of most anticipated games too :smh:
I'll say that people with videos are only showing the first 2 levels of the game and I haven't seen 1 video yet of somebody that actually has any skill at video games.

Not saying QB will be great, but it reminds me of Sunset Overdrive. If you didn't use the bouncing, grinds, air dashes etc in Subset overdrive they game would be boring. So for the most part, it looks like people aren't really using the time powers as they were intended. The player should be zipping around the area with dashes, throwing up bubble unloading shots and zipping back etc

But that makes sense since most people who have videos only just got their hands on the game and hadn't played it for more than an hour

Finally beat State of decay. :pimp:
Spent 30hr on it, without touching the dlcs.
If you're a twd fan, game's a must cop.

I still need to finish Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3. I know I'm level 50+ in F4. I'll probably have to start over in TW3 tho, I have no idea where I left off

Microsoft announced a new set of tools that will make it possible for game developers to run competitive tournaments through Xbox Live. Called the "Xbox Live Tournaments Program," the new initiative is described by Jason Ronald, head of the Xbox Advanced Technology Group, as "easy to integrate tournaments" that will be powered by Xbox Live and can be customized by the developers depending on the game or tournament.

The amount of irony in this is astounding, considering the response from the pro circuit in regards to online tournaments lately.

CoD pros have actually been complaining that the majority of the tournaments so far in the BO3 lifespan have been online tournaments through UMG, and that it's effecting their gameplay and outcomes in the tournament.

To quote in a sum of words, they said "For a lot of us, this is our career. Our career success should not rest upon internet connection and ping time.", meaning they want most if not all big tournaments to be moved to LAN style, rather than online UMG matches.

Shout out to Optic Gaming btw for winning 3/4 of UMG's tournaments in the past couple months.. racking up $75k total from tournaments alone in 2 months. :smokin

Gears of War 4: New weapons, new enemies

buzzkill610.png

The Buzzkill
The Buzzkill fires buzzsaws – a lot of them. And they spew everywhere as long as you hold down the fire button. However, these saws don't become embed in walls; they bounce, ricocheting off surfaces and tear enemies to shreds. During our time with the Buzzkill, we found the weapon was great at clearing a room but was dangerous as it was efficient, capable of killing you with your own saws if you lose track of their trajectories.

One of the Coalition's biggest challenges in the early stages of developing Gears of War 4 was coming up with an enemy that was just as fearsome as the Locust. After spending a good chunk of time going back through the series and studying why the Locust worked as well as they did, the Coalition eventually created the unit types that make up the new threat in the game: the Swarm. We got to see a handful of these enemy types in action during the demos we watched. While there were some we didn't get many details about (like the hulking and mysterious Snatcher creature we only caught a glimpse of in one of our demos), there are three types the Coalition showed us and talked about at length.
