Not sure whats true about cboat but I wouldn't surprised if the account is used by a couple different people including neogaf mods. Either way from what I've seen he/she is only right about 50% of the time and posts intentionally vague stuff so he/she has an out if it doesnt pan out.

Cboat is not like JM, who gets the source from the horses mouth and makes sure it is 100% certain before posting it. Cboat is seems interested in drama, interest in teasing **** that never happens, and always has an excuse when it doesn't. And the only reason he allowed to do that is without reproach is because the Anti-MS crowd on GAF (including the Mods) love it.

Since i have no idea what anyone else is talking about in this thread, i will address your question sir.  Haven't played either, but AC IV seems like a much longer title, with more things to do.  Someone posted best buy is selling Tomb Raider for $10 on xbox2.  I would go with Assassin's Creed.

-If he is a journalist, nothing

If he works for Valve, nothing

If he works for a middleware company, probably fired

If he works for a dev house, then he might get forced out, only if MS cares.

-If he works for MS, the he should get fired, and sued for breaking his NDA. You wanna break your NDA, find your choice, but you should be ready to deal with the consequences from the company that cuts your checks.

-Cboat isn't Snowden, there is no greater good, he hasn't provide any info that has helped the industry. He just leaking info for drama. He is not a hero or a villian, it isn't that serious.

Nelson lies as a part of his job really. So I can't fault him. He's pr. If he's told one thing he has to go with it. It's not his decision for MS to "flip a switch" and change something.

Spencer did lie about the black tusk game. It's been 14 months. They should be somewhere far along in it idk. But I give home a pass because he's steering the ship back on course.

The thing about cboat and most of the ms "insiders" is that they play to the evil ms crowd and pretty much lie all the time. But because they may get 1 thing right, all else is forgiven. Like Nintendo or Sony never do anything bad. They're angels.


But anyway back to black tusk. Hopefully they can create another team. No reason why the game should be scrapped of it's far along

I'm a long time fan of the assassins creed franchise and story.

Assassins Creed 4 has bee one of the more "disconnected from the franchise" titles i've played.
(in terms of the story being pretty much disconnected from the rest of the titles, and no longer emphasized)

Of course, having played the previous titles, you'll have a much better understanding of what the AC titles are all about.

Its pretty long story with tons of stuff to do on the side.

If you have the slightest bit of interest in pirates, stealth game play, or exploring I'd go with AC4.


HOWEVER...

Since Tomb Raider is more of a reboot of the classic franchise I'd say its easier to get into the Lora Croft story.

I have not played it, but I'm thinking about it and everything I've read has said its an outstanding title.



After being let down by AC4, as a fan of the franchise, I'd rather play Tomb Raider then play AC4 again.
