Titanfall isn't worth buying a xbone Imo

Bro's, I need some counseling. I want one of these bad boys terribly, especially with titanfall coming out. But I'm trying to justify buying the XBOne now for titanfall instead of just waiting for the 360 version. Is the XBOne really all that and a bag of chips? I'm married, in law school, and working 30 hours a week--so I'm not a hardcore gamer. I will basically be using it for it's media components (cable, streaming apps, blu-ray) and some light gaming. Just not sure I won't regret spending $600+ for basically Titanfall (I need a re-up on XBL, extra controller, and maybe headphones).

As much as I love Titanfall, no game is worth $600 on, I don't care what it is.

Titanfall on the 360 will most likely be horrible, they are only pushing the date back so more people buy XB1s.

Though, that $600 will last 10 years.

I mean I'm not sure what your financial situation is like. I'm 24 just graduated and in a new job. I use my Xbox every night whether for watching tv, YouTube, Netflix etc. I got the bundle. 500 for game and it came with 2 months of live cards. But also I did save up for it so it wasn't a huge financial hit on me.

Titanfall question.....does it play more like Halo or COD???? mostly wanting to know how fast/easy you die/get kills? One thing I hate about COD is how fast you die, no chance of fighting back like halo...

You do die fast in titanfall, but not as fast as cod. Like I may die 6-7 times in a match of attrition. But in cod I'll die like 15 times. The combat is more akin to cod. The players arent bullet sponges. But also it isn't as twitchy as cod.

Wall running is surprisingly hard for me. Like of your in a groove wall running your not gonna get killed as often imo

I feel like I don't get enough kills per match. I usually end maybe with 9 pilot kills and that's Me beasting too many ******* grunts

It would have to be a really really really special game to make me drop 500+ on. If all you want to play is TF it may not be worth it. But if you wanted maybe Forza, dead rising or KI or anything other game it may be. I said in the ps thread no one game is worth getting a console for.. Then I corrected myself and said it would take a really really really good game that you'll spend hundreds or thousands of hours on ala me on halo 2 and even og halo system linking with the brahs. I don't think games like uncharted or TLOU as mentioned in that thread are system sellers because you can only replay the story so much.. But others will disagree because those are amazing games to them even if they only play through it 3-4 times. Me if I beat a single player campaign I'm done with the game.. I may beat it on a harder difficulty but that's it.

True.. I'm not much of a campaign player, usually jump right online. I mean, I'm getting one of these no matter what with destiny and Kingdom Hearts coming up. It's just whether I want it right now or not.

Id argue it isnt even all about games alot of the time.

If I had 4 or 5 close buddies playing TF on X1, texting me expletives and telling me to come run, Id almost definitely be picking one up. That's how it worked as a kid for me too. Word of mouth from friends on how good games were.

Luckily most of my boys are late 20's, early 30's, who are staying up late to run through FF or play some indie title, so they arent costing me too much.

Only reason I played blops 2 a decent amount was when my homies in our little group chat would all say let's play some cod. I probably wouldn't have put any time into without them to run with tbh

I think that's how it is for most people. You are gonna play on whatever system your friends play on because its more fun. My boy was all Xbox and now says he will cop a PS4 since me and my bro play CoD on there; $100 price difference helps too since all he plays is Madden, CoD and 2K.

According to game code, not my opinion, most guns do about the same amount of damage as CoD...

BUT

Player health is out of 200 on Titanfall and 100 on CoD.

So on average, it takes twice as many shots landed as it does on CoD.

For example, The R-101 (most popular gun in the game) takes between 4-6 hits to kill (sometimes 3 if you score the headshot bonus damage) depending on your range.

A typical AR in MOST CoD's are between 2-4 shots depending on range, and hit location.
