working on "new, currently untitled IP's"

There was a conference for indy games last week w/ microsoft's new "ID" thing.

Titles are supposed to be dropping some time this month.

Idk how I feel about it yet. It sounds liek a good idea yea but idk if anything will ever be able to replace just coming home after aa long day, plopping down on the couch, and having that controller in your hands. Do you guys think that any of the other M$ exclusives will "make" people go out and buy an X1? It was to be expected with TF but aside from Destiny, I don't see any other games really boosting sales for the X1.

It depends. Halo 2 anniversary will def move units. If quantum break demos well, it'll probably move units. Sunset overdrive probably won't. Neither will Forza horizon outside of people who actually like racing.

It's funny because the combo of a 450 xbox with titanfall and kinect sports rivals coming out will be a fairly good one two punch among casuals.

Id be pleased if Halo 2 Anny pushed hardware. But frankly I doubt it. Thats a game that appeals to longtime Xbox loyalists. Nobody who doesn't already have the X1 already is gonna cop just to replay a ten year old FPS, cause you're talking about a game that was only on the OG Xbox, which wasn't nearly as mainstream as the 360.

True Next-Gen Halo might push units though. But frankly, from here until early 2015 I don't see anything in particular that would be a console seller. All the best games for the next 10 months are multi platform. And that goes for both systems

I'm just skeptical about Halo because many Halo fans didn't care for Halo 4. Horizon 2 could help. Im surprised to see how many people in here bring up Kinect Sports, games like that don't even appeal to me but I understand some families enjoy that type of stuff.

As far as PS4, I think The Order will help move units and not sure when Uncharted is coming but that will no doubt help as well. I just think more people ae going to be leaning towards the PS4 because it is cheaper, and although many people will say it isn't noticeable, the graphics for some games are slightly better on PS4 compared to X1. As an owner of PS4 and an X1, I hope both companies deliver at E3.

I hope Sony keeps the lead in sales for a while, it'll push MS harder than last gen, the last couple years was real lean on the 360 for me. I want MS to up their games w/ gold offerings and stop BS'ing about the media streams on the One (HBO F'n GO!!).

Agree.. That's why competition is so good for us consumers. Imagine if there were only one console :x

They were trying to front with the price match and then give me a gift card.

But I paid debit and I took the cash even though they were trying to pressure me for a gift card.

Was going to buy a play and charge kit but I got this great deal on slickdeals for a whole bunch of batteries so I'll hold off on the play and charge kit.

They would have been crushing right now if that price was $400 but with this deal the system is $390 right now and titanfall is 60.

I wish they would do some backwards compatability with 360 though. I see Sony doing that with PS3 or something.

I pretty much agree with you. Obviously almost any good AAA is gonna move a few units, but I would limit a true console system seller to something more powerful. I don't think a new IP, with an intriguing idea, but super sketchy previews like the Order is gonna really convince people to buy a system. But they certainly might default to buying PS4 simply cause its cheaper.

Naw man I could've swore PS was hurting for them first few years. It wasn't until 2007 when they started selling consoles and dropping games. 2007 M$ already had Gears and Halo and Gears 2 came in 08, Sony was hurting bruh.

i think a lot of people who bought PS4 might have been fans of the PS2 and switched over to 360, now their coming back. Hell even I had a 360 first even though I loved PS brand, it was just cheaper for me and I had got a glimpse of someone playing Gears

Well the install base is only 4 mill. It'll probably do about 800k-1 mill tops. Then it'll get bundled going forward probably from e3. People sleep on party games.
