I don't get the hate for reach. While it was different from 3, everything about it IMO was solid. Great maps. Fun gameplay. The only armor ability I didn't like was the armor lock. Now they lose me kn 4 but I wouldn't mind having a game like reach for halo 5

Reach was just call of halo duty. It was the beginning of the end for the series and was trash. It was an ok game, but a horrible halo.

No ranks = nobody cares = pretty much team training all the time

HALO 5 NEEDS TO BE A GOOD COMBINATION HALO 2 OR HALO 3 OR IT IS DEAD TO ME. E3 WILL BE VERY TELLING. 343 HAS IN ITS HANDS TO EITHER REJUVENATE THE SERIES AND BRING IT BACK TO IT'S GLORY OR COMPLETELY KILL IT.


I DON'T SEE WHAT'S SO HARD ABOUT DELIVERING WHAT THE FANS HAVE BEEN SCREAMING ABOUT THE LAST TWO GAMES. MAKE THE GAME MORE SIMPLER. HALO 2/3 STYLE IN GAME WIN/LOSE RANKS WITH THE SAME TYPE MATCHMAKING NEEDS TO RETURN.


AS MUCH AS PEOPLE MAY NOT LIKE WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SAY THEY NEED TO DISABLE PARTY CHAT IN THE LOBBIES. LOBBIES ARE NOW GHOST TOWNS BECAUSE OF IT. REMEMBER HOW MUCH FUN THE LOBBIES WERE IN HALO 2? EPIC TRASH TALKING BEFORE GAMES STARTED AND AFTER MATCHES ENDED. SURE THERE WERE ****'S IN THE LOBBIES BUT KEEP THE MUTE OPTION IN THE GAME SO YOU COULD JUST INDIVIDUALLY MUTE THEM. SUCKS BECAUSE I RARELY EVEN DAWN MY MIC ANYMORE. NO POINT, EVERYONE IN PARTY CHAT SO I CAN'T HEAR THEM AND THEY PROB CAN'T HEAR ME.


STOP ADDING MORE AND MORE **** TO THE GAME. IT'S AN ARENA SHOOTER MEANT TO BE COMPETITIVE. IF THE FOLLOWING THINGS AREN'T DONE, THEN I DON'T CARE WHAT ELSE THEY DO TO HALO, I'LL BE DONE WITH THE SERIES:


1. GET RID OF ALL ARMOR ABILITIES BESIDES MAYBE SPRINT.

2. GET RID OF ORDINANCE DROPS

3. BRING BACK HALO 2/3 STYLE IN GAME WIN/LOSE RANKING AND SKILL BASED MATCHMAKING

4. MAP MOVEMENT BASED ON POWER WEAPON SPAWN DOMINATION

5. GET RID OF LOADOUTS.

5. BETTER MAPS. CAN ANYONE REMEMBER ANY GOOD MAPS FROM HALO 4 BESIDES HAVEN?

Every H4 map sucked INCLUDING Haven. It was just the best of a bad bunch but it was a mess.

If I had it my way all AAs would go including Sprint. Just up base player speed and that would fix everything.

Skill based matching based on win/loss has to come back, I feel like the only reason I can even find ranked games in Halo 3 still is becuase of it. The population is just titled towards people who are still trying to get 50s or are playing on their 50s still. Also the Playlist EXP was great, it was great motivation for people to play on their ranks. A 50 with 2,000 + Slayer EXP just was more fun to look at.

Arena didnt even work. Onyx was easier to get, due the fact that winning took second place to the stats. I saw people who won like 40% of their games in a season with onyx rank... What? Once you got there it wasnt hard to lose your standing either it seemed like.
The callouts that they added to the HUD on the map dont even work, but I doubt they get rid of those.

Weapon Balance ( I know they wont fix this and I dont even want to begin to think about them fixing it) but this one just seems so simple and its mind boggling that they cant get it right. Honestly if you cant properly balance the DMR, just stop putting it in the game.


NO MORE DYNAMIC SPAWNS ON SYMMETRICAL MAPS. I can not stress this enough, what sense does it make to have the spawns switch when you're playing on a symmetrical map. If you lose map control YOU DESERVE TO DIE over and over and over until you break out of it. What Bungie did to Narrows

Party chat in the lobbies going away would be nice. It wouldnt bother me at all to hear what people are saying in a ranked game before it starts. Half the strategy that goes on in a pregame lobby is obvious anyways. "I'm going snipe, you go here," etc etc etc

I can do without the button glitches coming back, but its already a given that they wont.



I think 343 is fully aware that this is their only chance to keep the fanbase interested in Halo, Reach and 4 were flops and if 5 goes the same route I wont even care about 6.

Halo 3 was good but not as good as 2. I felt they tries to balance the weapons so much on 3 that it made them all kinda suck besides the BR. The close range weapons were almost useless and the melee was toned down too much IMO.

Basically. Nothing that happened in Reach was of any consequence to me. I lost it was whatever, I won it was whatever, I went +45 it was whatever. Same with 4.

There were like 4 H2 maps that had sword in the middle and I know I'm alone on this one but I hate Midship.

This didnt bother me at all though. Halo is and always will be a 6-8 gun game. Two starter guns, and the power weapons. I think halo 3 had 28 guns in it, and probably 80% of my kills came from 3 guns and melee.

I played halo 4 a fair amount of times and it felt like I only played on 3 different maps. And 2 different game types

I'm a halo fanboy, I'll admit it, but not to the point where they can do no wrong in my eyes. In fact I'm actually their hardest critic on NT. Halo reach and 4 sucked because of the things they copied off of COD, simple as that. Even the sprint is a waste of time. Why have a run feature? Would you just want to run all the time? Is that so hard to understand? If halo reach was such a fail, why did they keep using its formula with 4????

All they need to do is take halo 2-3, and go from there. I've said this a dozen times on here and I'll keep saying it over and over again. The only good thing about halo 4 is the customization which really doesn't even effect the game.


Like mem said, if this next halo sucks I won't buy it. I won't try to "force myself" to like it like I did the others.



And yes, party chat killed online gaming. Bring back proxy chat like on halo 2

I tried to play Reach a while back. Hit jump and rose like 3 inches off the ground. Laughed, and put H3 back in the Xbox. H3 still draws a good enough population for me to find games in any playlist, especially Team Slayer which was my favourite anyways. The only bad thing about it is that when Bungie stop suppording H3, the map weighting was at like 35% for Boundless so I play it all the time. That and Citadel which I didnt like all that much are the maps I play the most by far nowadays.

I cherish games like Team BRs on the Pit cause its so rare.

But seriously, I agree with what everyone is saying. Ban party chat in ranked games at least, stop with the loadouts and armor abilities, start putting weapons in certain spots permanently on maps again and bring back the old matchmaking/rank system.

Sadly, I don't think they will do any of that. Call of Duty and Party Chat killed online gaming.

Reach is the first halo game I only played for the single player. The multi player is so bad I think I tried for a week and just literally threw it away.

Isn't the fact that people still play halo 3 proof it's that good???????


If they'd put halo 2 back online I wouldn't by another game again. Point blank.

I was (terribly) referring to what sounds like Zanzibar. It had a circular ferris wheel type thing in the middle of the map and the sword was in a recessed square at I think the bottom of it (where the thing would spin by once in a while) or in the middle portion that connected by walkway to the building. In that map you spawned either on the beach with vehicles or by the building. And it was the same map where you crouched into one of the windows in the building and walked forward then jumped to glitch and get on the roof or something.

Only thing that annoys me is the amount of DDoSing in Halo 3 and the fact I have a static IP.

A while back some idiot decided it would be fun to hit my modem offline for most of the day, which also affects my mom obviously.

My ISP noted large data spikes in my data usage of "unknown data" and my modem going offline various times including while I was sleeping and they just said "yeah we don't really do IP changes".

Gotta cosign on this. The other things they need to fix are common sense and they dont need people in their ears telling them to fix them, but they need to stop letting the masses dictate the ranking sytems. EXP based ranking systems are nonsense, not everyone deserves to reach the highest ranking as a result of just playing for long enough.

No "Invisible trueskill either", I want full on in your face, number next to your name ranks.

Party chat gets annoying in ranked games. Those two people sitting in a party with each other, only calling out to each other . When you search alone, and have to deal with that, its basically asking to lose. They know how important calling out is too.

I'm not trying to hear random people at all times in online gaming tbh. It really is the next best thing to sliced bread since I can talk to my friends whilst playing different games. If I'm playing H3 Ranked I go to game chat during the game but most people don't even use a mic anyway regardless of party chat.

People who like party chat don't know how to use talking to the opponent to their advantage. I used to scream "plant the bomb!!!" And watch their whole team Juno out from hiding and have a guy on the wraith ready to blast them all on terminal. Party chat is the worst thing even. They finally give out mics and now nobody talks to anyone? What a waste
