I finally hooked my cable box up to the x1. When you say xbox on, is it supposed to power all 3 up or just the x and your tv? It won't power up my cable box. And that is useless if I still gotta reach for some remote to power somethin on. Other than that the feature is pretty dope. "Tune to fox sports 1" watching the prelims...

it depends on what tv you have I think. Mine only powers up the xbox and cable box, so yeah I still do need a remote.

I'm not sure if the X1 can power up the cable box, but theres really no need for it to do that anyway. If you just leave the cable box on, then when you say Xbox on, its gonna turn the TV and X1 on and you can go right to watching TV if you want.

Also, to follow up on this, I personally find that the best set-up is to leave the cable box AND the X1 on all the time. I turn my TV on using my TV remote, and then go straight to voice commands.

Theres really no reason to turn the cable or the X1 off. They're both designed to be on permanently

Its a half hour show about his life. Think something along the lines of everybody hates chris albeit not a comedy

you have to go to the settings and set everything up (especially if its your first time connecting your cablebox) because when I say xbox on it powers up my tv & cablebox

Head of Xbox is 'Definitely in to Win'
"We need to do more, that's 100% of my focus."
by Colin Moriarty APRIL 21, 2014

When it comes to Xbox One, the news for Microsoft has been mixed. On one hand, the console has shipped five million units, putting it well ahead of average shipped numbers at the six month point of a console's lifecycle (it's behind only PlayStation 4 and Wii, historically). More good news came for Microsoft when it was revealed that Titanfall was March, 2014's best-selling game.

But that good news is mixed with bad news. While Microsoft has shipped five million Xbox One units, Sony has sold to consumers over seven million PS4s. Titanfall may have outsold Infamous: Second Son in March, but PlayStation 4 outsold Xbox One at the same time.

Phil Spencer, who was named head of Xbox at the end of March, has acknowledged these issues, noting on Twitter that the company must "do more" in order to compete. Even though Microsoft is in a historically good place with Xbox One, the fact remains that PlayStation 4 is beating it handedly.

In a conversation with Twitter user Jermaine Jones, Spencer wrote that he's "More excited than nervous" for E3, and that "The Xbox team is working hard to make the show great." When Jones tells Spencer to not forget that he "said you are in it to win it," Spencer responded that he's "Definitely in to win," but that Microsoft "need to do more," and that this is "100% of my focus."

Microsoft was largely assumed to regain its footing with the release of Titanfall, which is, to many, considered Xbox One's most essential game so far. However, it's also available on Xbox 360 and PC, which may have split consumer focus and diminished the amount of Xbox Ones sold as a result.

Nonetheless, context is important, as we noted in an editorial last week. While PlayStation 4 is outselling Xbox One, Microsoft can easily turn things around.

What do you think?

Microsoft Files 'Eden Falls' Trademark
Another application for "entertainment services, namely, providing an online computer game."
by Evan Campbell APRIL 21, 2014

With less than two months until E3, the trademark applications continue piling up for Microsoft, which filed a listing for "Eden Falls" with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on April 16.

Spotted on NeoGAF, Microsoft's application for "Eden Falls" doesn't reveal too much information, other than the fact that the trademark is for "entertainment services, namely, providing an online computer game." But there is a blog for an Eden Falls game, purportedly a sci-fi RPG made by Brimstone Interactive. Contradicting that information, though, is an Eden Falls Twitter account that lists Lift London as the developer, a Microsoft studio known for making games on tablets and smartphones.

IGN has reached out to Microsoft for a comment regarding the "Eden Falls" trademark filing.

Over the past month, Microsoft has filed for three different game-related trademarks: "Secrets and Treasure," "Snap Attack," and "Screamride." Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, promises that E3 will focus on games, saying last month that Microsoft is "already over our 90-minute time limit and having to move stuff out of [the] show."

Finally beat Tomb Raider DE

give about 8.5-9. The game really picks up about halfway through it.
