The guy with a reputation for being difficult and contrary just to manufacture dissent doesn't agree with me.

Who could have seen that coming?

I wasnt even a huge H2 guy, I played it, but the Halo I "Love" is 3. Its simply the fact that I will get my core Halo experience back, I know for a fact that I'm going to play it and love it, played H2 on LAN a while back and loved it, still play H3 and love it.

Halo is basically the reason I choose Xbox over Playstation. Its that big of a deal to me. Its the game I put the most hours into by an enormous margin.

I'm really looking forward to going into it a much better player than I was ten years ago and being able to dominate from day one. I know I'll have fun because I didnt get that with H2 until close to the end, thats when I finally really figured out what I was doing

I also get the whole "It wont be the same as it was 10 years ago" argument that people are making, but ten years ago Halo was just a game I played, now its THE game I play. It decided what system I bought two times already and that is the truth. Xbox one had me from the gate because of Halo, I didnt even get a 360 until August 07 because I knew H3 was coming in September. If they give me a carbon copy of H2, then I am 100% satisfied.

Three people responded to me and two of them understand what I'm saying

Then we have you being your typical self.

Chill and stop trying to be a troll for like 10 minutes of your life.

You're trying to hard. It's creepy that you think you know me even though I have no clue who you are. Your argument of "nostalgia" doesn't work for this. This game are by far more superior than it's successors. This game (h2) is still being played on LAN , halo 3 is still being played online. The game will offer the same "experience" even though it's 10 years later. What's changed? We can't sit down and play it all day like we want? That we have to go to work?

Try writing an actual response rather than trying to make it all name calling. Just makes you look worse. You could also just do what you said and move along....

And that's all that matters.

I wasn't trying to take anything away from the game with my statement.

I also prefer H3 to H2.

Are you in your teens, have hours upon hours of free time to put in with your friends, who also have no responsibilities?

This is what I think he is getting at. I loved COD4 but without being at the same point in my life where I could drop 5 hours a night into it, it wouldnt be the same.

Edit: NVM I must have missed a page.

But how does that make the game any worse or make you like the game any less?

I think he meant to say that it's not going to give you the same wow experience like the first time you played it. It has nothing to do without liking it more or less I believe. But you both make good points. At this point there's no point in going back and forth

Exactly.

Thank you.

If you like the game as much as I and others here do seeing the game online again is more than enough to give us the WOW factor.

I loved golden eye 007 and played that game for hours a day for probably 2 years straight... Every Monday - Friday... After we did homework and the street lights came on so we had to come inside..... my boy next door, my lil brother, and myself went ham on 007.

Give me 100% carbon copy of that game and I will not have the same experience.

IMO the older halo games haven't aged well and halo 3 didn't even feel right last time i played it when it went free on games w/ gold.

Nostalgia did set in though... I was geeked

Yup, especially since we fully expect them to do something stupid and ruin it.

I agree with you but I understand where PLVN was coming from when he was talking about it. Truthfully I don't need a wow factor because halo 2 was big with me and my friends when we were growing up so that wow factor I was talking about won't bother me

But blasters comment was correct no game will I ever get as much enjoyment as I did with halo(2) my sophomore in college so why would I ever game again

I don't have the time to play like that anymore but will it make this game any less fun if anything it will make me appreciate it even more

 @ anyone expecting 343 or some C level studio being able to replicate Halo 2. After looking at Destiny I don't think even Bungie could do it good enough. Setting yourselves up for supreme disappointment. I'll most definitely pick up this Halo collection, but I'm not expecting a repeat of the experience that I enjoyed with Halo 2 or 3.

Im not looking for anything legendary, I just want a consistent shooter to play on my XB1. heck, id even rebut halo 4 if it was for the xb1.

Anyway I know somebody asked before but I got my used copy of DR3 in from gamely. Came with the box and a 3 day live trial, like I really need it

Another thing you guys have to factor in is the gaming community is not the same as it was 10 years ago.

I think that's going to contribute the most change to the Halo experience.

Back when Halo 2 came out everyone just flat out played and had a good time, but with COD overtaking FPS everyone started worrying about their K/D stats.

That's why the game won't play the same as it did 10 years ago.

Even though Halo isn't a game that you will prosper if you camp these kids nowadays is probably going to grab shotty/sword and crouch walk or hide waiting for you to get close and they keep their stats up or something.

I know many praise Halo 2 a lot, but I never got to play 2 online only 3 and I loved Halo 3 multiplayer.

If they do bring back Halo 2 I hope they add bumper jumper to the controller layout options.

343 helped make halo 1 anniversary and it was pretty much just a port. If they can simply port the game, success

Tried to finally hook up a headset to the XB1 today from my 360 the Turtle Beach X11 and couldn't do it.

Don't think my TV has audio out just in and I was able to do it through the 360.

One of the major mistakes that MS did with the XB1 was the whole headset situation.

They should have just kept it the same from the 360 :smh:
