Vahalla on H4 is the perfect example of why the BR and DMR cant work together on the same map. Even though I opt to use the BR, the DMR is by far the better gun for that map. You can sit top mid kill guys that are sitting at either base, sit at turrret and kill guys that are at the Pride Rock, the lines of sight are just too open for a gun that has that much range.

Map designed around the BR, then you put the DMR on it and it completely breaks the map. The Pit remake isnt great either for it.
That map is also proof the the new weapon system was garbage.

1. You'd run out of bullets way too fast with no way of reloading

2. Random weapon drops sometimes had multiple binary guns on the map at once.

3. Grenades were a non factor

4. It became a camp fest till you ran out of bullets then you ran out ready to die for more bullets at the spawn.
They will never have a rational explanation for this ever. It was to the point where we were suiciding to get guns again.... Like what?

They finally updated a few maps and put guns on the map, but its like two of them. Little things like that destroy the faith I have in 343, these are such simple things that they just didnt seem to grasp.

maybe thats why they releasing the collection virtually unchanged
they afraid they woulda messed something up

Only Halo I played was 3 and I sucked

all this "OG" gameplay will probably make me more trash

I personally prefer H2 over all other games because it was so free. Anything you could think of was possible with enough imagination.

Flying the bomb guy over on top of a banshee??

Purposely sticking you flag carrier to launch the flag across the map?

Also the close range weapons (smg) was worth using along with a melee. On 3 all close range weapons were borderline useless

I'm curious.

How is the halo collection worth $60 to the halo fans?

I thought the halo collection would be $40-$50.

Lol are you serious? That would be worth 200$ to me. Getting to play the first three iterations of the greatest shooting franchise ever, online.

There hasn't been a good Halo game since 2007 and hopes for 5 and 6 aren't high, even if they screw those up we'll still have the great games to play forever.

From the instant the H2 servers were closed this has been demanded by the fan base. They trolled us by doing CE Anniversary and putting reach multiplayer in it, they ignored everything we said when making last two Halo games, and look like they're going to continue to do so, They owe us by making this 60

ALL THE MAPS TOO which were always 10$ for three maps.

thanks for the info

I've never had an Xbox till now so I'm more than happy to finally get to try halo. I've played it a little but never enough to get good handle on it. Is there a steep learning curve to Halo as opposed to other fps games?

Current FPS all pretty much follow the CoD which gained popularity after Halo started dying down.

IMO older Halos like 2 and 3 "feel" old because the controls are so different than what im used to (im a heavy cod player)

That being said, they're not "hard". You'll get used to them in like 2-3 game. By then you'll be hooked anyways.

I was just telling my homie id gladly drop $200 on the halo remakes. I feel like getting em for $60 is a blessing haha. Will probably go for a collectors edition if a good one presents itself.
