It's totally an FPS. It's FPS with MMO-ish elements.

FPS is too broad a category to confine to a single genre anymore. It doesn't really speak to the genre of the game at all.
I think when most people say FPS they really mean MultiPlayer Shooter
Fallout 3 was technically an FPS, but it was obviously really an RPG-lite.

On those grounds I don't think I would consider Destiny a MultiPlayer Shooter. Its technically an FPS in name only. The crucible was bunz as far as competitive MP shooters are concerned, and the overall emphasis seems to be squarely on the MMO/Adventure-Story aspecThe crucible was bunz as far as competitive MP shooters are concerned

NOT SURE IF SERIOUS.

Maybe it's just because it was the Beta, but to me the MP stuff just felt trivial. Like it was merely a diversion from the real game. I enjoyed playing it, but it sorta reminded me of TF and how I felt like there was no purpose to the action, no significance to winning or losing.

It was fun, but I would def be surprised if Destiny crucible managed to replace ANY of the upcoming FPSs as a go-to multiplayer shooter

I think that Memphis is the only person here who loved the mp.

It's reaches mp but with abilities and weapon load outs. And you don't have as much health. It's ok for a short period, but I'll only play it since there's no alternatives yet

Imo, i'd rccomend getting a 2tb-4tb hdd on cyber monday.
Given the fact that 500gb filled up in 9-12 months.
So in a year or so, you need another hdd.

The PVP ON THE BETA was garbage. I don't care what anyone says. And no, it's not the game types or maps available, it's the idea of using the weapons you have during the MP. The game can't be fair and load outs are trash

I was thinking that. What if you go against a team of no lifers, they will have better guns and armor.During the beta there were a few people who had some special all Red suit.

And let's say the nerf all the guns to make them equal, well them what's the point of using the gun during PVP? Either way they'll be a "best" gun and a "best" class. The formula just doesn't translate well to PVP.

The multiplayer aspect may be forced. Because the game is similar to borderlands which clearly could never have a MP mode. I think the story is so in depth however the game will be entertaining enough, especially if you play on Hard. That sphere boss on the beta was dope. Overall Destiny will be a good purchase.

We opposites on this one lol. Don't matter we aint playing anyway with your crappy internet

Quick general question:

I have my XB1 hooked up to my DirectTV box in my bedroom, but I want to move the Xbox into my studio. I don't have a cable box in there. Is there any way I can hook it up wirelessly? Don't want to move the entire cable box

Highly doubt it. The box plugs in directly into your xbox, you would need some sort of media software to stream between the two devices.

It would be a nice idea tho but it would kill money from cable companies being they charge you for each box you have in your house

All of the guns in the PvP were balanced. Iron Banner is the only time that your gear is the same strength as it is in single player. Also I think the red guys just had a special shader.

Personally I loved the MP and don't think it felt anything like CoD whatsoever.

I hope the maps aren't huge. That map from Beta with the caves was good money. Good size. Had some nice Dom matches on there.
