Players will notice quite quickly that first-person shooter mechanics not far removed from Call of Duty have drawn the competitive game just a little closer to the kind of quick reflexes and accuracy normally associated with aiming down sights religiously. Both mobility and persistent zooming, if you will, have received a range of enhancements that greatly speed gameplay with a new boost ability adding to the player’s options for escape in a difficult situation.

From the main menu, we could select from three maps each offering three different game modes. Standard team death match or Team Slayer, as its known in the Halo universe, set us down in a Covenant-looking and circular arena with a central bridge leading to a beam sword. Limited power weapons waited in the outer reaches. This map focused the group of eight Spartans we had into head-to-head battles with assault rifles, DMR rifles, and Halo’s ever-popular pistol. Using the Smart Scope with the DMR meant headshots, and lots of them, though return fire now brings players back out of the scope as it did in previous Halo games. With the added accuracy availed to players with Smart Scope, it can be panic-inducing to lose that extra sight even as you’re dealing damage and wearing down an opponent’s shield.

I see it says that doors open at 6 for target. Does that mean that black friday starts at 6 on Thanksgiving for them? Or that there are separate sales on Thanksgiving day?

Don't care what y'all say, I'm excited to see what 343 has to offer with the new Halo. For those of y'all wanting everything to remain the same, thats why the released the MCC so you can always play that. I think it's important they keep innovating and expanding the game in different forms. But then again, I've greatly enjoyed every single Halo ever including Reach and 4 so I'm not a true Halo purist like y'all per say lol.

I'll give it a fair shot.

I'm glad they're releasing a beta a year before it actually releases and trying to get feedback.. means they're somewhat trying.. I guess

I know imma piss some people off. But I play Halo mainly for the campaigns, so all this extra stuff is kinda exciting to me.

The scoping can go if enough people complain but I want the thruster to stay. Shrug

Eh theres a way to innovate and still keep the game Halo. 2 and three did that, they both added things and still left you with a game that could be easily identified as a Halo game, Reach started the downslope but still, custom game options and the TU gave you room to fix it and it was a Halo game. 4 and 5( what its looking to be as of right now) are turning the game into a hybrid mish mash of other games.

The game is basically Destiny now, which is really just COD in Space.

I'm not going to totally write the game off cause we're a year out, but it looks bad, really bad.

Ranks in order because 343 didnt have the forsight to reveal it this way.

Exactly

H2 was different from h1 but was still halo
H3 was different from h2 but was still halo
Reach and h4 were completely different games.

I just can't get with the "completely different" game thing. Sure, sprinting and Armor Abilities change a lot (hated Reach Armor Abilities) but overall, the CORE shooting and taking someone's shields down and all that is still Halo. That's an experience you don't get from any other shooter including Destiny, COD, and Titanfall.

In the end, the biggest downfall for Halo moving forward is going to be that it's only gonna be compared on the Halo standard. If Reach and 4 were released as a new game without any prior Halo before, it would garner universal praise because it's still a great game on its own. But because it has to adhere to the past games it got deemed trash

Just my opinion though. Either way, 343 did us a huge solid by releasing MCC, this way we all can get the best of both worlds. :smokin

You guys think they're going to add double jumping in Halo 5 like what Titatfall, COD:AW and Destiny did?

Also, antidope antidope I see a few pages back you said you traded in your 360/PS3 and accessories and put it towards a XB1, but I thought you had a XB1 for a minute now.
