I liked the little bit of Skyrim that I played but overall I think Western RPGs are boring as hell. It seems like people only talk about the "open world". What else is there with those games?

thats the point though. you can do whatever you wanna do or be what you wanna be. I can be an archer and just do random quests and become a master thief. or I can just travel around and collect old books of lore to read

Srs. I would be so pissed. That is literally the only exclusive from MS I am looking forward to right now along with Quantum Break. I've given up on Halo for the time being. I only played H3 for a few days back in 08 so I'm not a diehard Halo fan. There's just too much out for me right now to be spending time "trying" to get into a match for 30 minutes

I don't really have any expectations for Gears 4 so I'm putting all my chips in on a Gears collection.

M$ has proven to me that they want my $. Giev the amount and variety of awesome games they've released in it's console's first year. Here's to another great year for m$ and for their customers.


The marcus fenix collection will be something serious. That collection will probably tun on dedicated servers as well.


I love upload. Hopefully you can just stream directly to upload instead of having to use twitch. I don't like ads.

I think both have been great for what they are. The only thing lacking from MS is the exclusives imo. I didn't expect a lot in year 1 but aside from Quantum Break what else do they have lined up? I love Xbox record that, Twitch app is clutch and I like the resume/suspend.

I don't see a difference in games as far as graphics so I don't understand the flak that MS gets. I have quite a few games on both consoles i.e. CoD AW, BF4, 2K.

Usually when people ask me which system is better or which should they get, I always tell them to base it off of exclusives and what are their friends are playing on.

black tusk isn't going to make it. they aren't big enough. they'll probably hire port studios. and hopefully this time they will supervise more thoroughly

Those free roam games just never do anything for me. I've tried Fallout 3, NV, Oblivion and Skyrim. I need structure in my games, some linearity. I enjoy side quests but after I have finished the main story. I played all of those games but I never know what the hell is going on with the story. I know people who love them and put 200+ hours into them, I just can't get down with them like that.

How does Gears work... since it's 3rd person shooter over the shoulder or whatever do you aim with a reticle like in Halo and COD or is it like the targeting system like what Zelda does?

Honestly it's almost the same as FP. The radical is still in the middle of the screen. Kinda like in halo 3 when you pick up a heavy weapon but more fine tuned

Given forza, sunset, and titanfall, I don't see how m$'s exclusives list is lacking. They've already took care of 3 game genres.

m$/$ony have about the same # of exclusives right now.

Like ppl already stated m$'s exclusives you can play with friends.

I guess I should have wrote "exclusives that I like"

Forza Horizon 2 is ok but I'm not a big racing fan so I don't think any racing game is great other than Test Drive (PS2) and NFS: Underground.

Sunset is ok from what I've played. Not worth $60 but I'll probably pick up at $30.

Titanfall was fun for about 2 days

All of Sony's exclusives can be played with friends too except Second Son. Were there others?

I'm not bashing any of MS exclusives, there just aren't any for me. On 360 I had Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata and Gears. PS may not have much that appeals to majority in this thread but I'll take Second Son and TLOU:R over Sunset, TF and FH2.

I like the exclusives that Sony have planned for next year; The Order, Bloodborne and Uncharted 4.

I like Quantum Break and Gears Collection (rumored) from X1.

Again I'm not bashing X1, I'm just waiting on something similar to the games that got me interested in the 360 to drop.

When you press the left trigger a reticle comes up, and zooms you in to the over the shoulder view. If you weren't pressing the left trigger you wouldn't see the reticle.

It is more like COD than Halo I guess.

- I think next years Gears game will just be a remaster of the first Gears, not a "Marcus Fenix Collection" because: a) they already released all three games in one package, and b) all the Gears Gears came out on the same system. It was not split up like Halo
