I put in Snatch (blu-ray) and it made a grinding noise. About 10 seconds later a read disc error popped up

Prob the only other option is CL. Gamestop will have you feeling sick when you trade in.

I think the BB deal ended on the day of the Xbone release?
The deal ended on the 23rd. Got in there a hour before the store closed

Finally installing 2k because battlefield keeps kicking me mid match hit me if you want to get in on a game and we should make a league asap

Add me bros, GT in the signature. How's Ghost's online and the matchmaking? Thinking about copping tomorrow, Is it like all the other COD games just next-gen graphics?

Watching Jwong and Maxamillian go at it on Killer Instinct makes me nostalgic.  They just announced Fulgore too. That was my dude.  Fulgore, Combo, and Orchid were my best characters.  Jago and Cinder were my least favorite.

edit: just seen my first ULTRAAA combo. :pimp:

Can someone explain to me how the video clips work

I'm still learning myself and I'm not all sure what you're wanting to know but I'll try to explain. During a game, you can use the voice command, "Xbox Record That" and it'll record a 29 second clip of your game up to that moment you used the voice command. For games such as Madden 25 and 2K14, the Xbox One automatically records certain moments in the game. For instance, in Madden it records "Madden Moments" which are touchdowns, turnovers and any game winning situations I believe. For 2K, it records the action replays. These clips are typically shorter than 29 seconds. It seems like some games have an automatic trigger for certain moments where it'll automatically record for you.

You can view clips in several places. First would be the Upload App. This seems to be the main hub for clips. You can view your clips here as well as clips from your friends and others within the community. Clips are temporarily stored on the HD so if there's a clip you like, you can save it here and you can also delete clips here.

The other place to view clips is the Upload Studio. Here you can edit your clips and upload them to Skydrive or just save them to your HD. You have options to trim the clips, record voice overs, use transition animations and others I haven't explored yet. Uploading a clip takes a few minutes and the editing seems fairly simple to navigate and use.

I believe you can set up your in game DVR to record entire game sessions if you want and you can use the Upload Studio to provide commentary. This seems like it would be great for explaining walk throughs of games.

For your friend's clips, you can view them in the Activity Feed, within the Upload App, or on the Smartglass App. With the Smartglass App, clips appear in high quality and I have yet to experience any hiccups or anything that would deter me from viewing clips via the app. There doesn't appear to be an ability to comment on clips, like them or share them at the moment. It's strictly for viewing and that's fine with me as it works just as you'd want it to.

This a screenshot of my clips from the Smartglass App. The top clip was an automatic clip recorded in 2K14, the 2nd clip is one in 2K14 I prompted to record using the voice command and the 3rd is a clip from Forza 5 I edited and named via the Upload Studio.

IM all in for a 2k14 league. i never been in one, but always wanted to be in a league. let me know.

MY BODY IS READY.

PvZ and Sunset Overdrive look mad fun.

God damn xbox one owns the ps4 and it's not even close!
I have a ps4 btw and man they can brag about 1080p (played xbox one @ my friends and there is no difference ) and a stronger hard drive but true ps4 heads just can't accept that they lost this console war .

Dude i love the xbox one, but cmon man to say it won the console war when it hasnt been out for more than a week...

I OWN BOTH CONSOLES TOO.

Here are my impressions:
PS4 is straight to the point. I love that. I haven't tried using the chat feature yet tho.
XB1 blows you away right out of the box but that gets old quick. Unless you are using voice chat, the experience is pretty cumbersome. I feel like im navigating through a marketing campaign when using the dashboard. its too busy for me.
Having party chat issues tho I know that will change with an update. XB1 launch titles >>> PS4 tho.

I think one of the main issues people are having with party chat is the fact that when you accept an invite it doesn't automatically put you in the party, you have to go to the party menu AFTER accepting and then select "Turn Party on" which is stupid as hell and very confusing to people new to the system. They also need to separate game invites from party invites like it was on Xbox 360.

as far as the UI I love it to tell you the truth, everything is right there and easy to reach. Have you "pinned" your favorite/most used apps yet?

i know about turning the party on. right now, its 3 of us that have transitioned from the 360 to the xb1. all 3 of us were able to chat on Friday. 1 of us has had issues since. he just gets the spinny thing and it never lets him turn it on. i have also seen the "we cant turn on the party chat right now" message.

i haven't pinned anything yet to be honest. i truly think the UI isn't for everyone but i will get used to it. i just want my xbox to play games so i have no interest in the apps that come along with the new one. ill be more content once i figure out how to navigate to the party/friends area with the least resistance. right now, its a bit cumbersome to join an existing party especially if you are already playing a game. the method of the xbox 360 was a little more lean than the xb1

I know exactly what you're talking about, it happens to me and one of my friends all the time but his NAT type is at moderate. Usually to get around this we have someone else try to host the party till it works out. Annoying nonetheless.

^^^ Thanks. Ill have dude check out the NAT stuff. Its just weird because it did work Friday then was toast Saturday and Sunday. We also tried to switch part leaders and it didnt work. At that point, we just chalked it up as live having issues

so much disconnect when you cant talk to your friends when playing games with them. :smh:

I like the simpleness as well with the PS4 UI.. but after a few month or years how long is that list going to be when you have to scroll over

The Xbone definitely hits you when you turn it on.. and that snap and whatnot may seem like a gimmick but when I was playing Forza and 2k last night while watching the Sunday Night Football game

was the feeling. I don't see myself using it that often but having that option is nice.. and I feel like they can only improve on those features.

The kinect is great but I've had to repeat myself quite a few times

I don't use it to turn on the console.. I use it mainly to switch channels if I'm watching TV or snapping things.. even then I sometimes just hit the xbox button then press snap and pick what app.. takes a little longer but I do it when I don't feel like talking to my damb xbox

^^^ yea i feel like both consoles will have upgrades with the features/interfaces just like they had on the previous generation. i haven't connected my cable box to the xbox yet because im still getting a grasp of the xbox OS as a whole.
i did get a lol moment when i was talking in party chat about a friend of mine and said he took the work Xbox home and my game paused and asked me for my xbox command. THOU SHALL NOT SPEAK OF XBOX UNLESS YOU WISH FOR XBOX TO DO A COMMAND
