Would you prefer an TPS action/adventure game or a FPS action/adventure game?
Far Cry 4: It's an open world FPS, with TONS to do. The gunplay is slower than COD, but it's fun. It has competent online modes. The story may tone you out after a while, but you should be able to find your own fun by doing what you want.
Like I was shooting at water, then an alligator came out of nowhere. I was unconsciously ....ing with his habitat.
You can conquer outposts from afar and watch the enemies drop like flies, since they don't where you are.

I can't stand that statement with being bored with a console or games. Take a step back and look at what you're doing. NONE of this was possible 15 years ago. You can literally control the console with your voice, play and interact with millions of people around the world, buy games online so you dont even have to leave the house to get new games. Bored with consoles...
I understand gaming isn't for everyone, but its far from boring.
