First time I've ever been legit disappointed in a Halo game. Its like they dont even care about what becomes of it. This is what happens when you hire a bunch of people who admittedly hate Halo and tell them to make a Halo game.

As it stands right now

 

I really really hope 343 learns from this beta. I really do. Listen to your fans, not the people that buy every new game and play them for a month or so then move on to the next. Listen to your fans. IDC if it takes two years to redo this, it cant come out like this.

The gun recoil animations look weird as hell when "hip firing" too.

I got an email from M$ stating that my xbox one console voucher from sept. hasn't been used. 

I just made an order with the promo code and it worked.
Brand new xb1 for $267.
Which comes with two AC games and a $50 gift card.  

How you got the voucher? Traded in a 360?

I bought the voucher on eBay for $7. I didn't trade in anything.

I think someone was generating codes or something.

Imagine if Bungie didnt get tired of making Halo games and used Reach and H4 to test what they were going to do for Call of Duty in Space. None of this would be happening.

^ I agree with most of that last statement. even though I liked halo 3, I wasn't a big fan of the regenerator, power drain, bubble shield etc.

Yeah, just got to play for an hour. I love the game so far, think it's very fun. But i don't think the diehard Halo community is going to like it too much. Plays very different from Halo 1,2,3. Quite different from 4 too.

Anyone have lurk returning a console without a receipt to walmart?

They're pretty anal about returning/exchanging without a receipt especially for a pricey product.  Theyre gonna ask what day you bought it, around what time, and form of payment.  I don't think they'll accept, "it was a gift."  I was there getting my gift cards returning the B2G1 deal from Target and they looked up when I "bought" the game.  The guy infront of me was returning 2 3DSes (sp?)  They were asking him everything, what else he bought with it, etc

Good luck to you.  And you can't really say, it was purchased on BF because you'd only get the $349 price or whatever it was.  You'd have to pick a date AFTER the price went back to $399 and hope someone at that Wal-Mart bought one with cash.

Supposedly, they will just scan the console which will show where it was bought and what not. 
I just want to switch the xb1 for a ps4.
In effect, getting a ps4 for $270.

I think to truly appreciate Halo 1-3, you had to play them when they were current. The few games I did get to play with some NTers was cool but it feels dated. I mean no sprint just seems ridiculous to me but for diehard Halo fans, sprint is the devil

H5 looks good and fun but I'll pass, the FPS genre is starting to take it's toll on me.

IDK. Most of Gaf( who actually played it and don't have irrational hate for 343) enjoyed it. Also Stream chats are cesspools of console war fanboys and nonsense

Hate issues? The game dropped NOT WORKING. The game now is hit or miss. If you want to play as a party prepare for a huge headache if you get separated or kicked off the party.

Where's the "hate" there? Those are facts. "They'll be working on it" that's great! Oh wait, I'd rather get what I pay for when I pay for it. Might just be me
