9 days before the BETA of a game that is still more than 9 months away and dudes already complaining :smh:
Am I supposed to blindly praise it? Game looks terrible idk what you want me to say. None of this is complaining either, they are observations.

If the Halo series followed the path that some of y'all want, it wouldn't even exist right now.
Better that than them continuing to ruin it.

When did I imply you or anyone had to praise the game?

And he game looks terrible in your opinion. There are also tons of positive impressions too.

- But anyway. What I want to point out that this is not a finish game, nor is it a demo. The beta is early so that 343 can get feedback and make the changes they deem necessary. But your going in on the game before they even have the chance to collect those opinions

I find that ridiculous, plain and simple.

The complaints that I see about H5 are all based around the idea that it's not a carbon copy of Halo 2 or 3.

Those complaints aren't valid to me.

"Changes they deem necessary" That right there is it.

They're not going to decide to remove Sprint, every other Spartan Ability, Take flinch out, take the in game callouts out, take etc etc out. We all know these things arent happening, they've screwed us once before with this already. They arent going to do it.

But I expect nothing less from the people who put SMG starts back into Halo 2 after 4 games of data that shows that starting with a non utility gun makes the game play worse, and Bungie themselves admitting that SMG starts were bad for Halo 2. These people dont care about Halo at all.

And I'm sorry but the feedback of people who dont have a specific interest in Halo itself means nothing. Those people are the reason why this game is like this in the first place. IDC what people on Gaf think I really do not. People who just have an general interest in shooters are whats causing this game to be this way. On every Halo forum I've been on its almost unanimous dislike.

I've been playing these games for more than a decade, its not hard to see what works and what doesnt. I'm not totally writing it off either, but theres about a 5% chance they wise up and salvage this game and abandon their dreams of tapping into a market in which Halo games do not belong.

Those arent my complaints. My complaints is that this isnt even really a Halo game anymore. Its strayed so far away from the principles that made the other games great that its sad.

Its not even about the games being carbon copies of either cause Halo 3 and 2 are different in about 100 different ways and none of them are anything like CE. None of those three games play exactly alike, or really even close to it. They just adhere to a solid principle. Hell even Reach did to an extent, 4 and this current and likely largely unchanging version of H5 cant make that claim.

And again this looks like a good game, but it sure as hell isnt a good Halo game. Give this a different name a reskin it, everything would be fine, but knowing that this is supposed to be a Halo and watching it? Its not pretty

-My main problem with your arguments is that you're using some kind of circular reasoning......."That no a Halo game" says who..........oh yeah, you.

What makes "Halo", Halo is different from person to person.

So 343 must continue to roll out Halo games only to satisfy the most vocal minority (like they won't get the copy n' paste criticism too).

And **** if the manage to make a enjoyable game with slightly different mechanics

That what it sounds like you're saying

And I will never co-sign an opinion like this

I'm sorry brah, but you just don't sound very reasonable, just kinda entitled

I respect that breh, no problem with us disagreeing. I wouldnt say these are "slightly" different mechanics but I feel you.

I dont think I'm sounding entitled, I'm disappointed if anything. I was never anti change, I knew it was coming, but they flat out didnt listen. IDK why they continue to poll people if they never listen to what they say.

I hope they flourish and finally get what they want out of Halo.

Just noticed that we're only getting ODST campaign in this apology package. I didnt like Firefight at all, but that was literally half the game, surprised that they chose to go that route.

^^^^ Brah I respect your opinion too.

I don't want you to take my descend as me defending 343, cause I have come to the conclusion that they are run my a coalition of idiots. And H4 was just one bad idea after the other.

But I believe H5 has a different Creative Director and Multiplayer Lead. So maybe they will be listen, and people should at least give them a chance to listen.

But If I were Phil Spencer I would consider strongly firing Josh Holmes and Bonnie Ross.

Not saying those are your complaints, but the negative responses I've read have all been based around that concept.

I think our disagreement is about context. I'm not really concerned with how H5 is going to measure up to other Halo games.

I just want something that's fun to play.

How hard would it be for 343 to make a "Classic" playlist on Halo 5 MP? Just remove the sprint, ADS, stomp, shoulder charge, thrust, etc in that playlist only.

COD: AW has a playlist like that. No Exo Suits. Just plain old COD gameplay. :\

Kind of annoys me that they are giving people who bought the game after knowing it was brokeb free stuff  oh well

No ones been able to articulate why Sprint in Halo is bad? These are the people that are in charge of making this game. This is what I was talking about, they keep saying they want feedback but when it was given they ignored it.
streaming the new puzzle platformer kalimba..

feel free to drop by

This should be a [hone game, perfect time killer

So I'm ready around and am I missing something or are the pros slamming h5?
No they are. They hate it.
This feels not Halo"-Hysteria.

"I dont even want to talk about this game"-Hysteria

"It plays like a CoD game in terms of controls"- Ninja

"This is Halo Reach mixed with Halo 4 is what this is" - Ogre 2

I already hate this - Ogre 2

Game could be cool but it's not "Halo" - Ogre 2

"The halo that had the most support was the simplest halo. Halo 1, 2 , 3 .. They were simple to understand. When they started to introduced sprint and amour abilities thats when the community started to decrease. Every button does something weird and differnet. It isnt simple like it used to be, thats what people want" - Snip3down

I don't dislike the game when I sit there and play it and forget that it's a Halo title, but as soon as I remember that it's Halo 5:Guardians a part of me cringes in pain.-Mikwen
There are a couple others but those are the ones I saved. But now just like what happened with H4, they've all switched to giving politically correct answers for the sake of not biting the hand that feeds. Especially Ninja, cant trust a word dude says.

Cant knock them though I'd probably do the same thing if it was gonna prevent me from getting money.

"ADS and shooting from the hip have the same accuracy."

           -Frankie, 2014

We should revive the MCC thread and make it a joint thread between It and H5.

Just my 2 cents, I prefer sprint, it's a good strategy so when you kill someone, and his buddies come (because they can find his X), you can just retreat easier and play it smart since likely you'd be weakened by the guy you killed. It's a good strategy. I don't like that thrusting crap though.

I think the ADS may be okay as long as there's a penalty for using it, like not being about to move much to dodge any bullets. I think ADS may be more deadly for the midrange weapons such as the Carbine, DMR, BR as it won't take much skill to aim.
