When speaking on Mario games are you speaking of the older Mario games or the newer ones?

Nintendo always has the best polished games, but I think the last Mario I played and beat was Mario 64 for N64.

Was just wondering if the newer Mario games are any good like Sunshine and so on because I haven't played them and always wondered if they were of quality of the older mario games.

Honestly, I can't even give you "right" answer. I just wasn't drawn to it. It didn't hold my interest very long. It does look good though. The only plaftformer that compares to Mario imo, is the Donkey Kong Country series.

Comparing nintendo platformers to nintendo platformers is like comparing apples to apples.

Tons of great mario games have come out since then.

The ones I can vouch for are paper mario, super mario galaxy, and super mario 3d world.

Older and newer.

I never played Sunshine (not sure why) but Mario 64 is easily one of the best games of all time. Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are also some of the best games of all time. I've seen some argue that Galaxy 2 is the best Mario game period. My only gripe was the motion controls. If Nintendo were to release Galaxy without the motion controls that would be too clutch.

As far as the Wii U titles, Nintendo still hasn't released a 3D Mario game along the line of Sunshine or Mario 64. 3D World and SMB Wii U are good but they remind me more of the original SMB from the NES.

That being said, I'd still take any of the mentioned Mario games over all other platformers currently out with the exception of Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze which I think is better than 3D World and SMB U

Yeah no way they were going give Premium away for $10

I'd wait until they put it on sale. I bought Premium for BF4 and rarely played on the maps. I think I only wanted it for Second Assault and that was because I loved BF3.

The DK/MR game are similiar, in the sense that you get from point a to b via powerups/side scrolling.

The only DK game I've attempted is DKTF, which I've gave up on.

I know that the old DKC games didn't have power ups either, unless you count the animals that get you pass certain levels

DKC:TC is the best 2d platformer on the market right now. Super Mario 3d world had a lot of potential and I like a lot but it's hard to top the greatest platformer/game of all time super Mario galaxy 2

Also, last Nintendo console I had was Gamecube... got my girl a Wii though.

I would like to play them, but I'm most a FPS type and I hardly have time to play like that so.

Meh... I still want a Wii U for like $50-$80 when Nintendo drops their new console and play a back log of all the games I missed since it's backwards compatible. I'll still always want to play all the newest Zelda's that drop I think no matter how old I get .

This . Skyward Sword is the only console Zelda I haven't played yet (I think). I wanna play Minish Cap too. Have it on my PSP but haven't gotten around to starting it.

I'd debate you on that last point though. Majora's Mask is better .

The powerups in TF were how the old, young, or girl monkey would ride you. Which would enable you to pounce on enemies, jump higher, or glide.

Similar to mario's powerups.

That's a good plan, since nintendo games are relatively more expensive than m$ exclusives.

The wii has a lot of good/great games. The wii u has several great/good games.

Its ok. The o it reason I got it was because my controller shuts off after a period of time. Controller> remote, but the remote is cool because you can just pick it up and go. But the buttons don't feel great and it's all matte

Check out the smart glass app. I use that as a media remote. It has a setting where you can use the app "only as remote."

So the "remote" is ready to go whenever, after it initially connects.

Highly recoomend not purchasing a play/charge kit. Highly recommend copping rechargeable batteries.
