Halo is one of the most iconic FPS franchises in console history. Some of the best story telling in any FPS franchise too.

Unfortunately, if you're very accustomed to modern day FPS shooters, you may feel like halo 1-3 is a bit slow and clunky.

I dont feel like they aged well.

Yeah I would def say enjoy the stories at least, you might not get the same feeling online as we had especially being MCC isn't where it's suppose to be. Story mode is coop also.

U kinda have to hold Halo and BF at a higher accord because there are no killstreaks, straight gun skills in those games, a wack kid can get a care package on COD and destroy a team briefly. I personally would take older CODs over Halo, think it just depends on the gamer. Both excellent series regardless, for the most part.

This is precisely why COD4 is the GOAT among modern console shooters imo.
It had all the quality, traditional FPS gunplay, with just the right amount of added chaos with the 3 streaks, and no stupid game breaking BS

I loved H2 on local LAN split-screening with my college buddies, but after that era ended Halo3-4 etc. couldn't hold my interest

From all of this, I think we can all agree, in terms of FPS, less is more.

New versions add stuff we really don't need. Like look how many guns COD has now. Just thinking about COD4, it wouldn't rock with today's FPS shooter, not enough choices.

If I can get COD4 with AW customization it would be perfection.

Few reasons Titanfall didn't make the impact it could of.

No story mode, even tho I don't play them really there is a huge market for them, a lot of people play COD and BF for that alone. We already know what story mode means for Halo also.

The Less is more concept wasn't applied to MP. Requiring certain weapons and titans to prestige was pretty dope to me but only hardcore gamers will enjoy the challenge.

But you are right, Less is more did backfire with the game modes in TF as well as guns to the masses, IMO it was needed. We gonna see the COD influence in TF2. Massive game and guns, customize your titan, pointless stuff. And the gameplay which was actually good on TF will suffer.

But actually Borderlands > Destiny. Content wise alone. There is a more concise story, basic sensible ranking etc etc. Destiny is like video game crack. I lurked the thread, folks really there upset they have nothing to do in the game now and waiting for sept for the DLC like their aren't other games out now to play

Nah the DLC's were good and the game modes added. and that style of gameplay was actually done well. Just a lot of mistakes done with the launch and development. I dont get how they agreed to release it when they did.

ADDED, yes. By then the game was already deserted. They spent all that time developing the game and forgot that when you release it the majority of the game shouldnt come out 2-3 months later.

Destiny is one of the worst multiplayer games ever, it's beyond broken. I can't speak on halo because I've never played any of the older halo games but if it's anything like destiny I would have hated it. Titanfall doesn't deserve to even be ranked, it's easily the worst video game I've purchased in the last 15 years.

I can't even take your cod ranking seriously because every cod player knows AW is the worst cod ever. Overall it's not that bad of a game but in comparison to the cods that came before it, it's trash.

I have nothing but respect for games like halo, battlefield, and gears of war but different aspects of those games aren't enjoyable to me. We are all going to lean towards what we feel is fun so I also get why a lot of people hate cod. I tend to enjoy the cod games with higher ttk(treyarch) because they reward skill more than the games with lower ttk(infinity ward).

NAH. GHOSTS IS THE WORST GAME I HAVE EVER PURCHASED ON ANY CONSOLE. EVER. THAT GAME FREAKING BLOWS A HARD ONE.

TITANFALL WAS A FUN GAME. IT JUST LACKED CONTENT AT TIME OF RELEASE OTHERWISE THE POPULATION WOULD STILL BE THERE AND I WOULD STILL BE PLAYING.
