I'm pretty sure the Crucible levels out the damage between weapons so that higher level players don't have a damage advantage but still get perk benefits

Well these dudes were putting me down with 1 shot easy. And I literally had to put about 4 to get the ?shield? down, and another 3-4 to kill em. Fastest kill I got was was a headshot that I had to bounce lead off his head 4 times to drop him. These people were turning the corner and dropping me.

Yes. Everything about the weapons/gear takes play other than damage which is why its difficult for you right now to get a good run going. The only difference between my scout rifle and yours is that mine boosts different areas while yours doesn't. The base damage will be about the same.

But when you level up a little more and better weapons start to become available, you'll notice the difference.

Hell, there's some blue guns that you can use like evergreene, kills with 2 head bursts

Oops it was answered already. But at this point you should do vanguard playlist and rank up factions there is plenty to do at this point being you have no exotic weapons gear etc

Vanguard playlist are the bounties? I been doing them but the give minimal Vanguard points. Plus a lot of the bounties are for the Crucible... Win 3 matches. That ain't happening anytime soon.

Nah vanguard playlists are basically just random strike missions you do, it's the big blue circle that says vanguard right next to where you can choose to go to the crucible. It should pair you up with 2 other players for your fireteam so you don't have to do it solo at a low level either
