But folks seem to dismiss the bad stuff

Game is just bloated with things to do just cause with no "real" reason

That's whats potentially gonna be dope, different online experience everytime, not just a basic shoot at people for 3 mins then get called racial slurs in a lobby. There is always hype with series like this drop but its earned it right MGS is 1 of a kind bro, no spy series has been on this level of gameplay. It's even sweeter because this might be the last real MGS we get with Hideo gone. Konami might destroy it now without the man with the plan.

it's the cod4 of tps. Gesrs perfected how tps play. No tps has been able to match or top the way gears plays. The closet i've played to gears is a game called the order. But we not gonna talk about that.

The gameplay is the best in it's class.

I think what makes it so popular is the story and how marcus is now one of the faces of xbox.

Not liking gears is fine, but very few tps can match it's quality.


Imagine a tps like uncharted or the ladt of us, but with gears gameplay mechanics.

Mechanics cannot compare at all. RE highlight was the story and environment, go back and play RE you'll understand. Granted it started prior to Gears.

I assume that he meant RE4 which has pretty good TPS gameplay mechanics. RE1-3 are more in line with what shottadru said; fixed camera angles created a suspenseful atmosphere where you werent sure what you would encounter around every corner.
