Ok, finally got around to setting up my TV through my X1
So far it seems to work great and I'm liking it, could def get used to this.

One question for anybody who watches TV through the X1 :
Im getting could quality HD resolution when I watch TV on my xbox, but if I change back to regular TV, the resolution and aspect ratio is all jacked up, and I can't get it back to normal.
Has anyone had this problem?

FYI: I still have my cable box connected separately to my TV by component cables. I thought this would allow me to watch TV through X1 or CableTV

You'll get used to only watching through the xbox. There's no real need to have it hooked up both ways. The only downside is before I had one port tuned for gaming and the other for watching tv. So now I have to change a setting more often but it's quick and easy. Your problem probably is each port on your tv has separate settings. Also check your cable box settings. You might have things set as if a hdmi cable was plugged in.

Oh Im loving the TV functionality. That was one of the big selling points for me.
But there are still a few things I want to be able to do with my cable box.
Unless Im missing something, there is no way for me to control my Comcast DVR through my Xbox. I can't control what to record, or access my recordings
Also, if i want to get anything On-Demand I will have to do that through the Cable as well

I love the TV through Xbox, but I would just as soon have my regular TV still fully functional as well

You can still use your DVR and everything like normal. Just used your cable box remote instead for the xbox controller.

I just figured (wrongly) that I couldn't use the remote when I was watching through the XBox. Works like a charm!

It's 6v6 plus the AI players running around doing stuff. Most likely you won't have 6 players with titans at the same time.

I really don't get why this us a problem. Gears, halo, and mw1,2 both had smaller player counts and that was some if the best mp around. Big battles are ok every now and then, but they devolve into players just screwing around and not working together

Respawn responded on GAF.

All 12 players can have a Titan on the map at the same time , plus A.I (not bots) characters will be on the map too.

im thinking about doing it on april when my DVR box isn't free anymore. will move box from basement aka gaming room to the living room and just use the app instead in the basement.

Also still need to try dr3 friend said he played and sold it immediately. Others are saying it's fun.

I read that.. I thought there was more since he said the more news that comes out the less excited he is.. I thought maybe there was more news that I didn't hear about.. 6v6 plus titans doesn't seem bad at all and as Blake mentioned some of the better mp games have been the ones with less amounts of players. I hope that continues.. We won't really know til it comes out I suppose.. But I'm still looking forward to play it even though I wasn't as hype as most were for it.. The more I play these launch games the more I'm waiting for it

Yea Gears is one of my favorite series and I think there was only 5v5, so this doesn't bother me. I'll still wait until I see some reviews, I'm growing tired of the whole shooter genre. Maybe this can get me back into it, if so, then Ill purchase this and the X1.

Halo for Xbox One Still Coming in 2014

Halo will still hit Xbox One this year. Speaking on Twitter, Microsoft’s Rob Semsey confirmed that fans can “Rest assured your next Halo journey WILL begin in 2014,” adding the hashtag “stay calm.”

Semsey’s tweet comes in response to a list of 2014 Xbox One games posted on Xbox Wire today, which includes Titanfall, Watch Dogs, Project Spark, Sunset Overdrive, The Division, and many others, but lacks the next Halo. According to Semsey in a separate tweet, Halo was only absent because the official name of game hasn’t been announced yet.


The next Halo was originally teased at E3 with no title. In addition to the planned 2014 launch, 343 Industries said Master Chief’s next adventure will run at 60 frames per second and have dedicated servers for multiplayer. It was later revealed that the game will be led by Timothy Longo, previous creative director of 2013’s Tomb Raider and Star Wars: Republic Commando.

Would you guys say its worth it to make the jump now?

Well 3/4 games you mentioned are currently out so if you're only looking forward to those then it probably would be worth it.

Or wait a year til their next games drop.

I'd say if your still satisfied with your 360/PS3 then wait. 2K looks great and is more fluid on X1/PS4 but the presentation menus are garbage. Madden looks the same. I can't really speak on Fifa since I haven't played it but I hear it's only slightly improved. UFC doens't have a release date as of yet.

I like playing FPS online with people i know.

Always did much better in all the CoD's when I was squadded up.

Don't eem care about 6v6

Only downside is less of u clowns to merk on the map at any given time
