waitin on info for TF beta got me stressing Im gonna miss out even though Im checking multiple sites daily

Has there been any word on a progression/unlockables system in TF? Or is it classic multiplayer from start to finish?

Well all make it to the beta brah.

As for how progression will be I'm not sure. Those who got into the alpha how was it :nerd: I'm guessing just standard leveling cod like

I think it's based off wins. I remember then saying they did away with the point system all other games now have

Sounds cool. I like the progression, but a change of pace that brings it all back to TEAM success would be a breathe of fresh air. Not so heavy on KD ratio, lone-wolf playing

YES, half the reason, if not more, people don't "care" anymore is because win or lose, you still get points. Being back losers getting nothing. It would change everything

What type of beep are we talking. A loud one or a little one you can barely hear. Either way I don't recall hearing one ever.

Only thing that would change is people would only want to play when they have a full party and are guaranteed a win and the casual gamer without a party would lose the majority of the time and wouldn't rank up.

Was thinking the same thing.. If they did it that way the lone wolfs and the casual everyday players will be stuck.. While all the parties will be killing everything

And that's how the games should work. You don't want to lose? Get better, get a team.
Games these days are nothing but practice mode over and over. Zero competition.

You don't rank up if you lose? OF COURSE NOT.

I don't know if you play any FPS games but teams aren't an indication of being skill.  Majority of dudes I run across in COD are trash, most parties are composed of 1 dude thats good and another thats average while the rest of the squads only purpose is not to die too often.  I've got a family, to tell me the only way for me to rank up is by coordinating with 5 other adults about when and how we can play a video game is a joke.  You dudes that think everybody that picks up a controller is trying to be an MLG pro need to understand that your part of a very small minority.

All I play are FPS and fighting games. When you lose in one player does the game just send you to the next level? No, you learn until you beat it. In multiplayer, why would you rank up if you keep losing? Because you got 3 kills but does 23 times? When you reach a rank that you can't seem to get higher than, that's YOUR RANK. Halo 2 is a perfect example of this. All these point system based games promote not caring. All of a sudden winning the game doesn't matter anymore, just your kill streak.

It's not about being "hardcore" or mlg, it's about winning to progress forward.

Both arguments make sense to me. Hopefully TF strikes the right balance.

On the one hand, I don't play with friends/clans/team so I don't wanna be forever stuck on losing teams just because Im riding solo

On the other hand, Id love to play a MP game where team play and team success were the priority, and not just killstreaks

Hopefully respawn has built a game where team play is emphasized, without punishing players who don't wanna Clan up

I get the spirit of what your saying but ranking up in FPS games have always been about the time put into playing the game and not skill.  I'm not trying to defend bad players or players that never really attempt to improve but they are the majority of the customer base.

I've got a 1.95 k/d in COD Ghosts at the moment with over 60,000 kills and an average of 19 kills a game, unfortunately because I've played solo 95% of the time I only have 1.5 win/loss ratio.  You can't tell me that some dude that isn't even positive and can't manage to even get double digit kills deserves to be rank up faster than me because he only plays when he has a full party and has a 5/1 win loss ratio.

I say leave the ranking system the same in the background and just get rid of stats.  Let people see how they do on a game to game basis but get rid of k/d and w/l stats.

Wouldn't say it's loud. But if you're in a quiet room and like 10 feet away you'll hear it.

I really need to get a good headset for my xb1.

Does anyone here use a previous gen headset on their 1 that they would recommend?

One more question - Does any headset with digital audio work on xb1 just not the mic? Someone educate me pls.

Feeling like a noob right now.
(case of the mondays)

Not sure if you are in a rush or not but I believe the official Xbox One headsets drop next month in line with Titanfall, those will support audio as well as chat.

I'm not really in a rush I'm just being impatient.

I just wanted to know if the game audio worked on headsets with xbox one.

Mic connectivity is completely secondary.

I have a turtle beach that I bought for my PS4, if know one lets you know sometime today, ill check and see if it works with the X1 when I get off work.

aight so im finally buying one within the week or two. and wondering: should i go via retail store like best buy or whatever, or should i cop one off craigslist for like $500 even?

IMO the biggest advantage buying one at a retailer brings is the in store warranty, but it'll cost you.

If i did not care about warranties, I would buy one off craigslist for 500 even or less.
