Some of my friends got a X1 and they don't like it because they don't care about the entertainment system that MS aimed for with the X1. I think the PS4 is a better console if you are looking for a great console for gaming (not knocking the X1 just my opinion)

Curious.. if they didn't care for the entertainment stuff why did they spend the extra hundo on it?

Also I liked the entertainment side of it.. but I recently canceled cable and now the snap and tv function is useless for me

But it's still a gaming machine.. and I still enjoy that part of it.

 worked out for me. Nah but seriously I think the you can just go with the brand you had previously, things arent going to change that much IMO. M$ will still push out exclusive shooters and PS will push out their exclusive single player experiences. As a gamer you cant go wrong with either one
 
When deciding between the two consoles I think it comes down to 2 major things. What exclusives you would prefer and whether or not the Xbox entertainment features appeal to you. For me, I love First Person Shooters a lot more than single player experiences so Xbox was the obvious choice. Also, I was very interested in the entertainment aspect of the Xbox and so far it has not disappointed. I use the voice controls all the time and I love it. Also, by having your cable plugged into the box, it makes switching between gaming and TV a seamless and very enjoyable experience. And still, this generation has just began so this stuff is going to get much better. My boy has the Playstation though and it really is an awesome machine. Just depends which one caters to your preferences more.

even if it doesn't cant you just snap tv, change input to the hdmi with chromecast, and view there?
 
Or... can you just plug the Chromecast right into the "TV" hdmi spot on the xbone

Idk :lol: I find them to get a ps4 because it seemed to fit what they do more instead of the x1. Now the friends I have that bought the x1 are looking to buy a ps4 in the upcoming weeks except for like 1-2 of them since they don't want to have 2 consoles so early on

As far as setting it up with voice commands? If so it still works.. your tv just won't turn on and off with your xbox with the commands.

i dont have an HDMI port in my tv an the only thing that came with the XBOX is an HDMI cord
