My bad meant to say SOD was on sale recently.

hmmm that does peak my interest when you put it like that, I'm just not feeling all the future crap. Maybe it will be better compared to AW, Titanfall incorporated that flying stuff better. Still won't day 1 it like most CODs, I actually wanted to play Ghosts yesterday cuz AW was pissing me off, I realized I have traded it in lol. Ill cop for cheap off Craigs or 99gamers maybe.

Ghosts :x

F that, break out BLOPS 2 on the 360 :pimp:

My fault with all the posts, but... antidope antidope and all other Halo heads...

I'm sorry but COD > Halo

And I'm not talking about it being ruined by 343 or sprint.

I guess it's mostly like the time to kill.

Halo has too much crap that awards inferior players (bubble shield, power drain).

Nothing is worst when you have a guy down to one shot and he is able to run away and you're pumping shots into them... so frustrating.

I don't know if COD spoiled me over time but it's so much easier to be a one man army in COD than it is in Halo and most of the time when you play Halo you're not teaming up with anyone.

It's hard to explain, but when I was playing Halo 3 on MCC yesterday it made me realize that the Halo and the Halo formula didn't really age well over time.

Ehhhh......there is a lot of generalizing in that statement. Where to start.

When it comes to TTK, I would argue that a longer TTK is superior in creating a skill gap between crappy, good and great players when no other factors are involved (i.e. equipment and sprint - one of the main reasons I dislike Halo 3 but I digress). COD's TTK awards those who head glitch or happen to see someone first; neither of which require skill. When you have shields involved, first shot doesnt mean anything. A strong strafe will nullify the first shot whereas in COD if you get the first shot, you get the kill 95% of time. While this my be frustrating, it also helps to explain why a "perfect 3/4 shot" was something to boast about.

This brings me to a point of contention with a lot of other Halo fans who prefer H3 over H1/H2 - the impact of equipment on overall game play. Personally, I think it hinders game play but again I digress as I don't expect to change anyone's opinion on the matter.

I do agree that COD is better for individual play.

With that said - H1/H2 > COD4/W@W/MW2/BLOPS 1&2 > H3/H4/Reach > AW/Ghosts

Still got mine.

Also your new avatar is throwing me off.

Yes, this is what I meant by my initial post.

Okay yeah you hit the nail on the head.

Although with Halo 2 you die really quickly for a Halo game and those nades are OP as hell and you get 8 nades to hold in H2

I never played H1or H2 online only H3, Reach and H4 and playing Halo 3 now on MCC is so frustrating with the shot registration and also when you are playing solo and get matched up against a team :smh:

Yay! Mature discussions over video games!

Yea the shot registration in H3 (MCC only) is caca and H1/H2 has mini nukes for nades.

I respectfully disagree. Twitch shooters are all meh to me, the whole thing feels redundant and every gun feels like it does the same thing. I hardly get BS'd by equipment in H3, theres like two maps where its a continuous problem.

H3s my favourite but equipment is bad. CE far and away is the most skillful Halo, but I can barely play it at a functional level so its hard for me to really judge it outside of what I know about it.

I wouldnt rank any CODs over the OG3+Reach, but MW2 and 3 > H4 and H5

8 nades was cool until H3 came out and gave you 4, now it feels weird. CE needs the nades though, they're too important.

is it possible to get 2 more heads for 4 players in H2 ? i already know jumpman is down im looking to run some good games after work

@Antidope

What do you mean by twitch shooter are you talking about like army military games?
Yup. Where all it takes is to look at the guy and shoot him twice and he dies. They do nothing for me. COD is fun when I'm playing to statwhore, thats about it. Winning and losing is of no consequence, you can just camp and thrive cause theres no reason to move around the map in Deathmatch, I just cant get behind it.

It's my opinion sir... :rolleyes :D

In looking at your complaints and outside of 1 thing the rest are solved by have friends on your list to play with and practice

Man none of you guys be on playing Halo.

Or when someone is on everyone is onto the next wave or game.

Only dude that be on like that and I've played with is shottadru shottadru

I played with you and a couple others when MCC first dropped but then everyone started going to different games.

Yes, I know it was because Halo was broken.

I'll keep an eye out for you guys later today.

I think I only have ijumpmani ijumpmani on my friends list though not sure.

If you dudes are running some Halo and see me on send an invite.

GT: Never Had Much

I just got on it again and yes, it's still broken. Halo1 is NOT playable online and halo3 is hit or miss.

It's hard to coordinate a time because we all live in different time zones.

My thing with cod is that the shooting take absolutely no skill so the reward goes to the guy with better guns and map memorization. Play the game a lot and find the spam hiding areas to rotate with = winning. Not my style

I can respect the ranking however to me

H2/COD4/MW2 > BLOPS 1&2, WAW, MW3, H4 > H3...nothing else worth mentioning after that.

the avatar is a just a future gif, he's dropping an album this week, youll hear me blasting it this weekend lol.

Pizzo and Jumpman been on Halo a lot recently, you def can run with them, barely catch Blaster on the same times as me.

COD and Halo are def different even tho they are both FPS, it takes a different type of skill to prosper at each series, U kinda have to hold Halo and BF at a higher accord because there are no killstreaks, straight gun skills in those games, a wack kid can get a care package on COD and destroy a team briefly. I personally would take older CODs over Halo, think it just depends on the gamer. Both excellent series regardless, for the most part.

Battlefield is the Goat.

Battlefield is pretty dang fun..

I luh conquest :pimp:

Its fire to me that u can do like half a dozen different things and still contribute to the team :pimp:

Like... u slippin and dying in gun battles? hop in a tank

U getting shot down in da choppa? Fall back and snipe

Getting picked off by snipers? Hop in a car and keep it movin

etc etc etc

This is precisely why COD4 is the GOAT among modern console shooters imo.
It had all the quality, traditional FPS gunplay, with just the right amount of added chaos with the 3 streaks, and no stupid game breaking BS

I loved H2 on local LAN split-screening with my college buddies, but after that era ended Halo3-4 etc. couldn't hold my interest

Im so suprised that VIP on BFHL doesnt have a big following.

Search on COD4 is top 3 gametypes to me and VIP is only gametype that gave me that kinda stressful, fun, clutch feeling in a long time. I think BF should scale maps down for certain play types cuz they are mad big especially for intense game types.

Just grabbed halo mcc never touched a halo game hopefully I like it

I hope u like it too!

Halo is one of the most iconic FPS franchises in console history. Some of the best story telling in any FPS franchise too.

Unfortunately, if you're very accustomed to modern day FPS shooters, you may feel like halo 1-3 is a bit slow and clunky.

I dont feel like they aged well.
