This is why they should make spin offs. If it was a brand new IP I probably wouldn't have gotten it, much less played it. I played it cause it was a Halo game and its a horrible one. I'm not the only person who thinks so H4 lost 90% of its user base in 4 months.
Halo 4. No Flinch, see through walls, sprint, no descope, Beam Rifle auto aim through the roof, Binary Rifle, loadout, multiple weapons in the same class, Spawn with the Boltshot which is basically H3 Mauler H4.
Game is absolute garbage

If Halo 4 wasn't a Halo game, would you have such an issue with it?
All you criticism of the game stem from the changes they made to the Halo formula, if it where a new IP with the exact same gameplay you won't have such a beef with it
It is still a top tier shooter. Much better than the likes of Killzone, Resistance, Ghost, etc.
Game is a horrible Halo game. I didn't use them interchangibly, everyone should know by now that I'm only talking about Halo games, I dont comment on other shooters in here all that often.

To the tune of 90% of the playerbase? CODs came and went during Halo releases and didnt see that much of a drop off. The difference between 3/Reach and what 4 did and what 5 has a good chance of doing is that those games are god awful. Two Halos came and went through COD games and remained in the top ten of XBL (top 5 for most of it) during their tenures, but H4? Nope.

That game being horrible had more to do with the drop off than COD. It alienated everyone, new and old.
