Also.. is there a disadvantage going in at level 5 vs level 8 dudes? I was doing pretty decent on the PS against level 8s as a 5 but not sure if I'm at a major disadvantage or not.

PLAYING DESTINY ON MY XBOX ONE VERSUS THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS OF PLAYING DESTINY ON MY PS4 FURTHER CONFIRMS THAT THE XBONE CONTROLLER IS SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY. THE EXPERIENCE IS SO MUCH BETTER FOR ME ALREADY AND I'VE ONLY BEEN PLAYING FOR 30 MINUTES.

YOU NEED TO PLAY THE STRIKES AND STORY MISSIONS UNTIL YOU REACH LEVEL 4 OR 5 THEN IT GETS UNLOCKED.

Yea I meant to post in the ps thread, I figured most guys in here wouldn't know yet. I didn't know you had to unlock it at the tower

i did some strikes at lvl 5 and I felt like I was just tagging along, hardly did any meaningful damage

THERE IS NO DISADVANTAGES. LEVELS DON'T COUNT IN PVP. ALL THE GEAR AND WEAPONS ARE NORMALIZED AS FAR AS DAMAGE. BUT CERTAIN "PERKS" OF WEAPONS DO CARRY OVER TO PVP.

THE ONE EXCEPTION TO THIS IS THE "IRON BANNER" EVENT. IN THIS EVENT, BUNGIE ALLOWS ALL STATS OF WEAPONS AND GEAR TO CARRY OVER TO PVP. IF YOU A LEVEL 5 AND MEET A LEVEL 20 IN THE IRON BANNER, YOU ARE GOING TO GET MOLESTED.

The gunplay is excellent.

It rivals COD's.

IDK how COD can continue to exist once Destiny comes for the FPS throne.

Mine corrupted at 20.. Did it again now it's at 45% I'm going to lay down and run all might if it finished great.. If it corrupts it can kick rocks

There's gonna be an audience for both I don't think cod is going anywhere. And they are 2 completely different games too so there isn't much to compare. I however do feel that destiny will take the throne if it's as promising as the beta makes me believe

Yup mines is extra slow now only at 32% gonna leave it on over night while I watch TV. If ain't finished by 8am I'll leave it on again until I get home from work.

Was looking forward to playing tonight but guess not

The controls will take some time to get used to as well. The look sensitivity is way different to me as opposed to COD. Aiming down sights and just moving while walking is really different to me.

After the first mission I already had trouble pressing continue as you had to hold down Y to continue not just tap it. I didn't catch on to that till a couple times repeatedly tapping Y.
