I felt that they had the tools to make a good story, but the writing was pretty bad.Yeah, the story of the game is buns and the way they delivered it doesn't help. It's just boring at times
The actors, music, setting, set pieces, etc were good to me.
Three scenes that stuck out to me were when Micheal(black guy) was trying to save those chinese people. That made me cringe, but it had so much potential to be a great scene.
There's this elevator "cut" scene where the white guy that is not from the disney channel said something like "are you going to call so-and-so's wife to tell her the news" to the black guy. I'm thinking "y'all might not make it out of this fire fight but y'all planning out your weeks and ....
da fuq?
Then the bonding scene with the asian chick, the black guy, and white guy from disney channel.
So much wasted potential.
From the info that I've received from this thread and other sites. The kinect 2 CURRENTLY is good for voice commands that make navigating the xb1 OS just a LITTLE bit easier. With all these OS updates that make the OS easier to use, the controller will most likely become just as fast to use to navigate the OS just like the kinect.
IMO there's nothing that entices me yet about the kinect 2.
If you want the kinect to enhance your games, kinect is not worth it yet.
All the kinect games that have come out look horrible.
Hopefully some games that actually make an effort to put the kinect to good use come out. If those types of games come out, I think the kinect would be worth it.
The 360 kinect was worthless. Right now kinect 2.0 is just showing more of the same laziness on the games side.
On the navigating-the-OS side, mainly good things are said about it.

I'm going to start by saying I've never had it without but I really can't see even playing the one and not having a kinnect my one is on all the time if I'm in the loft so it gets used for everything tv, games, Netflix I wouldn't even buy a one if there was no kinnect

This is the best thing about Kinect to me. I'll be using it a ton more when Halo comes out cause Halo 2 doesnt have theater in it, and even though I'll probably Twitch all the time, its just easier to record clips using that.Only thing I use my Kinect for is "Xbox record that"that makes it all worth it IMO.

About a week in, how is everyone liking destiny so far?
The no trade system was dumb to me at first but after playing I realized the reason it was implemented. It raises the difficulty and challenge to find better gear, if we were able to drop I could find a legendary item and just drop and disconnect like Borderlands style "trading"
Crucible is a love hate relationship but the rewards after is real stupid. Like you could be on top of the list, win the game and the last person on your team gets an item. Some games it feels so imbalanced, like dudes killing you like its hardcore while you pump bullets and their shield barely moves. With the being said YOU WILL NOT SEE ME IN IRON BANNER.
I like how you can't see who you are facing before a crucible match but why can't you vote for a map? I didn't see the Moon multiplayer map from the Beta until this weekend. I don't even know how many maps there are. No private match nothing. Sometimes you run the same map 2/3 times before it even changes.
Bounties/Daily & Weekly chanllenges are dope. Engrams are annoying. No reason you find a blue and get a green item. They really serve you no purpose after hitting 20 except to dismantle.
Why can't you skip cut scenes! You run daily, weekly missions or just levels on higher difficulties and you have to sit through some cut scenes again and again. The level where you are introduced to the Vex is a great level minus the long scene at the end.
The race for Light is annoying because you can put time in and come up empty handed running missions and strikes.
The marks for Crucible and Vanguard feel like it you have to dedicate your life to it just to advance but the race is still trilling to keep playing just to get better gear. I am a Warlock apart of Dead Orbit btw. Almost level 1 with them.
Overall I am happy with Destiny, I have good expectations for the Raids this week. If they are solid I will be on Destiny and Fifa only until November. Servers have been on point for the most part, just a random disconnect here and there.

I realized a lot of people were disappointed with the game. It was pretty much what I expected, nothing revolutinary about it but well above average. 8/10.

I don't play non stop, so there should be enough content to keep me busy at all times. I think I'm almost done with the campaign, I did the first mission on Mars. I've only done one strike, Devil's Lair.
Crucible is hit or miss with me. One game I'm getting off, 3.0+ K/D, next game, 0.6. Nothing about Crucible is groundbreaking imo but it's nice to have. I haven't played with anybody so I'd assume it's more fun when playing with friends.
I'm only level 15 or 16 so I have no idea about Light armor
It's a game that I can put down and pick back up later and I'll always have something to do. It'll probably be my main multiplayer shooter until CoD drops

If you start a mission alone generally they will look for other players for you. They can also just throw someone in mid match. When you are trying to farm you have to do it with 2 other friends.

I hate having to download every game before I play it. I bought the Xbone and PS4 on RD, but with being so busy this past year with grad school and moving, I literally just opened the box for the first time and hooked it up Friday. Played 2k14. Its pretty dope, but the whole having to download **** is hella wack arnolds. I love the feel of the controller though. I definitely feel like the companies are starting to screw the gamers and the whole video game scene as a whole by making everything cost extra. Like, I already spent 60 for the game, now youre telling me I can't have the other content unless I pay more. I had to spend more bread on 2k14 for VC. Either that, or have a garbage *** myplayer forever. Should've just got it for 360, I always hack that version.
And W...T...F.... is the deal with destiny being an online only game?? That's ******* stupid. I know hella dudes that wanted it, but have suspect wi-fi, or none at all. Bungie is trippin. My internet is money, but still, I don;t like being told I HAVE to be online. They should've just made it like Halo, instead of WOWC.
Haven't played the PS4 yet. ON RD I copped like 3 games each, but nothing that made me super excited to drop everything in the last 10 months to play lol. 2k14, ghosts and forza for the one and battlefield, lego, (had Killer Instinct and watchdogs reserved and they didn't let us know until RD that they were last 2014 releases smh) scooped watchdogs back in june and LOU a couple days ago. I'll get around to playing it, maybe this week. With it being fall, I really want to finally crack open all these new games I've been buying over the last couple seasons. Got Max Payne 3 for the 360 on RD, Just cracked that open Friday too. It's pretty cool. Not as dope as the 1st two though. Not as dark and spooky. Being set in Brazil is kinda meh. Still have the entire AC series to play, the last 2 Gears of War, all the Batman's, both black ops 1 & 2, the most recent Tomb Raider, all in plastic. 2k15 is dropping soon. I treat my video game efforts as I do my shoe efforts, if I see stuff, I'll cop it and just get around to playing it/ wearing em, later. Should be a fun Autumn.

I know man I know. It was all about having it first day, I truly believed I'd be kicking myself if I slept on the systems, i remember sleeping in the past, or not having the funds on RD, dreamcast and ps2 and being sick as hell, and maybe I would have if I didnt pick them up, Idk. I definitely should've waited though. All the bundles and deals I've seen made me feel like a jackass lol.

Was running with a squad and we couldn't figure out where the points were coming from.... I though control was like Domination where you got a continuous amount of points for capping flags
THIS IS NOT THE CASE
Control is more like Team Deathmatch than it is Domination (In a sense). You may score points upon the initial capture, but you will NOT collect points for simply holding an objective. For each task you complete that is worth a point, your score accumulated will include how many flags your team owns at that moment as part of your scoring total.
A kill is typically worth 100 points. If I own two flags, my kill will be worth 100 for the kill and 100 points more, 100 for each flag I held at the time of the kill. You will pick up more points as a team for two people baring down on one kill, as the second player would pick up 50 points for your team on the assist as well. A head shot will grab another few points.
