I'm not down with the "watch someone else play a game and donate money" trend, but I am with the "here's some cool things I did in this game a few days ago" trend.

Like that gow3 montage someone just posted. You'd have to go out of your way to find a vid like that last gen, with upload studio it's easy.

I see your point, but I think more people share their gaming experiences to socialize rather than to just put it out here.

I also see your point. Maybe I'm old school but "social" media isn't really social Imo. The equivalent of messages in a bottle people get randomly (or not). To me if you aren't interacting first hand with someone else it's not very social.

Nice catch on the Mytho. Ive done HM six times and haven't had it drop for me yet. 

 

Vex Mythoclast was nerfed last patch but will be buffed back for PvE this week. So expect ~30% more damage than what you are getting now

Contemplating whether to buy a Xbox One just for Halo MCC.

I don't see anything else I want for Xbox One except maybe Killer Instinct.

Go for it. I got mine mainly for Forza. Only difference is Forza is 1 game and Halo is 4, which should keep you pretty busy for a while even if you don't get anything else.
