A "hit'? Probably not. it would definitely cause a buzz upon the release.. but i feel like it would be short lived

Single player without a question.
Agreed. It seems like there are only a few "hits" online on either console these days, most of them on XBL. CoD, Destiny, Halo, Gears, BF and maybe GTA V. Are there really anymore out there
nerd.gif

I think that is the final line as said above PS is better for loners, Xbox is better for friends. The exclusives clearly prove that also. Uncharted, God of War TLOU. When I played TLOU I was in party chat on my 360 with my friends still lol. PS needs to bring games like Crash back, its a easy way to get away with gaming and "spending" time with your girl. I can't split screen COD with my shorty.

More good online games, just not considered hits. Many small gaming communities out there with strong fan bases and followings.

How so? I don't think this is the case anymore. I play on both systems and it seems like everyone is either not talking or in a party. All MP games are available on both consoles with the exception of Halo and Gears. IMO it's pretty even now.

Not even gonna front i wouldn't call it even. Random banter barely happens now on the one like b4 and the system comes with a mic. I dont get it. I played a decent amount of COD and rarely get called out my name. Maybe MLK finally achieved his dream?

Theres no need to talk in Call of Duty though, when I play I sure dont if I'm searching alone. No need to talk when there are no call outs and the objective is essentially to statwhore.

I mean if you're playing competitively every game will need a call out.

You playing casually then you're just messing around.

If you're try harding then you're focused.

When playing Halo do you do call outs if it's not with your team Anti?

COD isn't the game to statwhore? lol

I generally play the shooters with friends so calls outs are regular. IF, big if, im not in game chat its cool meeting a random with a mic. I added a few cool people since X1 came out from random matches.

CoD teams are much more vocal than halo teams ever were. There are points at every time i'm watching a stream where all you can hear is utter chaos and words here and there because all 4 players are shouting out callouts.

Competitive CoD is a whole different monster than going Xbox Live > Team Death Match

the average TDM'er is either going to 1 - not use a mic 2 - be in party chat or 3 - be an annoying little jerk off who gets muted.

I'm rarely in game chat at this point. When I play solo i usually mute the entire lobby before the game even starts

I have met a few people via game chat but its extremely rare

Nah I call everything out in Halo, regardless if I'm playing solo or in 4s. Its force of habit at this point, on Monday I played customs and was in party chat with the other team and I was still making call outs

Honestly, I used to have a stacked friends list of 100 with only about 5 of them being people I knew IRL. I met them all on H2 and H3, none of them on COD.

I think about trying it now, when I play someone who is good in MCC I wanna invite them and run some matches but 1.) they won't join because they're scared or something idk and 2.) we'll end up getting disconnected anyways.

Don't disrespect Johnnie! Annoying lil mutt tho.

Fam you never heard me playing Fifa, like my girl actually complains, I be screaming!

What's weird is when someone from your job asks you to add them on XBL. My Xbox self is nothing like my 9 to 5 self. I never send co workers invites. lol

Callouts are generally made anytime you see, engage with, or die from someone on the enemy team.

Callouts are generally made to decide where each of you are and how you want to proceed w/ the objective.

But it rarely happens in regular ol' public matches because people either dont use mics, stay in party chat, etc.

Here's a trolling video of it

And here's a video of Mboz from OpTiC Nation explaining callouts on strikezone from CoD Ghosts

Pro call outs are short and sweet, you don't see much emotion from them until the match is over. But it just a description of engagement and a nick name of the area. Some teams its not often especuially with certain game type because they practice so much they already know where to be and have a particular task.

Game Description: Gather close and I will tell you an unipkaaq, a story that has been passed to me from generations past. I learned this tale from Nasruk many years ago. He told me that there is great wisdom in listening for those who are willing to hear. Remember, when you are part of the Iñupiat people, you are never alone. This is a story inspired by Kunuuksaayuka. The story of an endless blizzard that threatens the survival of our people. A story of a dangerous and cold journey at the top of the world. A story of bravery and true friendship. Come play my story. You are Girl and Fox, crossing dangerous lands, facing icy peril. Meet fantastic creatures and visit lost villages. Discover the mysteries and beauty of the helping spirits that are hidden in the world around us. Work together to overcome the challenges and obstacles that Nature will throw against you. Alone you cannot survive. But together you just might – if you can use each other’s strengths wisely and you refuse to surrender to the wind and snow and dangers that stalk the frozen North. Succeed and you will restore balance to the land. Fail and all will be lost. Never Alone is an atmospheric puzzle platformer for 1- or 2-players built in partnership with the Alaska Native community. It delves deeply into the traditional lore of the Iñupiat people of the Arctic to present a game
