For as much praise as MW2 got that game was broken to the utmost by the third week once dudes started finding out how to cheese with one man army, then the tubing began

But it was still fun as hell and I still remember first seeing Sandy Ravage with those nuke boosting vids

I know many on here hate him but it was actually @Superb being one of the first who was praising Treyarch and saying they make the best CODs and everyone was flaming him and tearing at him because Infinity Ward was godlike back in the MW2 days, but Superb said the one thing that was so true about the different developers making COD and that was Treyarch actually listens to the community that's why everyone looks forward to their COD.

I'm preordering COD for 2015 because I know they're making it and I think they're going to do a good job based on the past ones they've done. On top of that when things need fixing, patching, buffing, nerfing they are top notch listening to what the community wants.

Yeah, I don't know. Probably from the casual standpoint. Since Black Ops1 I've played so much COD. I have over 20 days played on MW3, over 30 days on Black Ops2, and only 9 days on Ghosts. The Time To Kill was so small. At one point there were more people online for Black Ops 2 than their were for Ghosts, only 6 months into the game. Black Ops 2 YouTube videos and Twitch Streams were still viable during the Ghosts lifecycle.

People didn't like Ghosts at all.

You can argue that "the game is the same every year" but people will still play the game. It's the same with League of Legends, and Minecraft, and all these super popular games that have developed such a hardcore following. Those game literally don't change at all. Sometimes you don't really have to be different to be good. The COD community is really a ritualistic one. There are things about the game that simply cannot change. It has to feel like COD, or people will stop playing all together.

im a casual cod dude, but played them all. the popular opinion and one I agree with too is that MW2 was the best. OG 4 too. but after that...other than MW3, my interest and time ive played them has gone down. I didn't even buy AW. my brother had it and I played the single player which was great, but the multiplayer is just frustrating and annoying. ghost was just boring

Ghosts was pretty boring but I don't think MW3 sucked I just think it underwhelming is a better way to describe. And tbh when I think about CoD since CoD4 they haven't been all that bad imo I like all of them with the exception of ghosts when I played them and enjoyed them. I do like treyarch's CoDs because they are the best well rounded with a story and co-op although I feel IW was better at polishing up the MP than Treyarch. I just hope that if Treyarch goes back to the simple nazi zombies style of co-op tho because when they do to much it's makes it boring to me. The same thing I felt happened with horde mode in gears 3 just too much stuff going on within horde mode took the fun out of it

This. While some people like to simply hate on cod look at how far it's gotten them by following the same formula for 7-8 years when you reach a formula that just simply works well why change it? That's why I know if halo stayed the same as 3 it would still do well without all the new stuff they added like armor abilities and what not

Why do people not consider that IW's entire staff from MW1 and MW2 for fired or walked out. They were planning to patch and balance MW2 when everything went down.

I knock most of Treyarch's COD games (except BLOPS2) because they don't take risk, they didn't push the franchise forward. They just listen to the fans complaints from the IW game and then balance theirs. Which is cool I guess but I won't give them points for that.

Wanted to grab a 32-36' TV, but maybe a monitor maybe might be a better option for space reasons.

Yeah the lawsuit.

IW didn't do most of the on MW3 though. Plus MW3 wasn't that bad either

Haven't seen Bastitch post in years. Last place I'd expect him to pop in is the Xbox thread .

And I prefer the IW iterations to the Treyarchs (aside from BLOPS 2, which played like an IW game imo). Obviously Ghosts was trash so count that one out, but COD4, MW2, MW3 were all amazing imo. WaW was eh, and BLOPS1 was trash imo. Everything went backwards in that game. Graphics, sounds, killstreaks, maps, etc.

IMO Ghosts was fun.

I think it was a step down from Black Ops2 but that didnt stop me from putting well over 100 hours into it.

That being said, I like AW significantly more than Ghosts and going to back Black Ops2 just feels really outdated

Ha, thanks. I've collected the posters for all the UFC and WEC cards I've attended live. I actually have one other up in my office with 2 other framed ones on the floor and a bunch still in their tubes.

Both my son and I have monitors that have hdmi inputs. So when youre out there, look for something that explicitly states it has one. Just know that you have to olay a lot closer to the monitor than you may be used to if you play on a larger TV.

I feel display lag when I play on TV after playing on monitors. That may be placebo, but most gamers that play competitively most likely play on monitors these days. Others can chime in with the facts.

5 ms is the standard. 2 ms and 1 ms are out there. I've played on a 5 ms and a 2ms. I can't tell the difference.
