Don't know if you've gotten your answer yet but I've got astro a40s and a50s and both work just fine with the XB1, just no chat.I really need to get a good headset for my xb1.
Does anyone here use a previous gen headset on their 1 that they would recommend?
One more question - Does any headset with digital audio work on xb1 just not the mic? Someone educate me pls.

Its safe to assume any of the turtle beach headsets that use optical out will work just fine also.
In the last couple weeks I've been getting impatient with not having chat and have considered buying this adapter that you can make yourself if you have the ability, there are a number of them on ebay.

Yea picking it up tomorrow. Not getting great reviews, but mostly story issues, which doesnt bother me any. Gameplay is supposed to be strong.

Im just gonna cop an adapter when "real" come out that are mass produced along with a headset that does optical out.
My current headset for 360 doesnt use optical out.

I like coop games. And I am hype for Titanfall just not geeked for the Beta. I can wait til the finished product comes out March 11th.

very true especially with people having plenty of problems with Madden, I will do the same thing as you. Hopefully be able to test out the demo first.Seent this on fb a bit ago, looks dope. Once again that EA scares mewill wait for actual gameplay footage before I make my decision on that game.
