Ranks got taken out due to cheaters/modders. I'm sure i've posted this before, but I was a former competitive halo player and went to multiple MLG events for it. I want halo back more than anyone in here most likely. What you guys need to realize is that change has to happen, and 343 has no idea what they are doing, so it's not good. With that said, 343 hired halo pros to help work on the new halo game(s), so hopefully they can help make the game good. I've heard multiple rumors from people who know those guys that they have been testing h2 multiplayer, but with nothing confirmed, who knows.

And for the record, reach with no bloom no sprint>h3. But h2 will always be the greatest game to me. h3 was awful to me, online was not fun at all with that ****** br if you didnt have a godlike connection.

Also, sprint does NOT belong in halo period, allows for dumbass plays and randomness. If they come out with a new halo they need to just keep the ranks like how they were in h2, I didn't really play h3 and got a 50 in mlg easily. I was able to get to 44 in h2 without dropping a game and would get dozens of 2month trials to 40+'s. But I was never able to get a 50 in h2, because that's how sick the ranking system was , highest I got was 47.

That's the thing, there is change and there's a complete rehaul. Reach wasn't halo "changed", it was completely different . With 4 they tried to take the changed game and add more "halo like" elements to it and it just didn't work. Halo 3 is halo 2 changed. Halo reach and 4 are almost different games with a halo theme to it.

With reach and 4 being such let downs I don't see how 343 could logically continue with that formula. So far for me halo ended at 3 with 2 spinoff games

Would always go to his house to play and when halo 3 came out and the custom games and forge! Man hours spent on that game trying to see whose jimmies I could rustle in lobbies before either winning or losing were some great times

Sad part is, it isn't even actual additions to the game, more like subtractions.

People left halo when reach came out because of bloom and sprint, that killed it. Once no bloom no sprint came out a LOT of the old school players and most of the competitive players came back. nbns felt like real halo and was really competitive. I defend reach because of that, and think nbns reach > h3. the majority of the MLG community agrees with this.

I just watched a few games of ZBNS Reach and its exactly how I remember it, which isnt a bad thing. There was a lot of things good about it, mainly the shooting. I dont think I would ever get over the lack of jump height though.

One thing that I know for sure is that it was not nearly as fun to watch as H3 MLG. Lack of gametypes was part of it, they didnt have many good ones outside of Sanctuary and Pit. Oasis King was god awful when it was there and Zealot was bad period. Nothing played right on it. 

MLG Construct King was the best Halo gametype ever.

Couldnt even begin to tell you what the H4 AGL Circuit is like.

Thats easy, Sprint is still there and you cant even get rid of it, the damn ordinance drops, NO WEAPONS ON THE MAPS (Seriously how did this even happen, one of the most important things about Halo games was removed), cant tell you how many times I've been playing and ran out of ammo for my starting gun, and couldnt find any more, and every single map was bad.

I heard that they are trying to go some sort of RPG route with halo 5. I don't have much faith in 343 after 4 tbh, so expect the worst. I haven't played 3 for ever, but last time I tried getting back into it I sucked

For those who don't know, ID@Xbox is basically the Xbox One's way of releasing indie games (games directly released through the developer, without a publisher)

I find it interesting that the xbox one store doesn't separate the "full" game titles, arcade games, and ID@Xbox games... yet

Strike Suit isn't really my cup of tea

indie games are not free.

BUT they are a lot cheaper because they're digital release only (typically) and theres no publisher involved.

Strike Suit Zero came up as 19.99 on my xbox one.

Indie games on 360 are WAY cheaper but also seem to be much trash.
