I got it. When I was going to watch tv this morning, it went ahead and installed. I'm good to go when I get off work. It was a pain before because I couldn't play with my friends that had the beta.

I got a question for y'all. I'm not looking to buy some fancy gaming headset or anything. If I buy the headset adapter, will I be able to plug in my regular Bowers and Wilkins in ear headphones and hear game audio? Also, they have a mic as well so I could I chat with my friends as well, or do I need a dedicated gaming headset to do both of these things?

If I'm not mistaken.. You'll be able to as a headset but only get audio but the mic won't work. If you bought the astro mixamp you would be able to use them as a headset and mic.. But you mentioned not being hardcore and that's out of the price range. If these Astros I bought suck I'll at least have the mixamp forever which will be useful for a long time.
