not necessarily true. if you trade them in a month or 2 before the new one comes out, with promotions you can usually get around $30 back. atleast i've been able to for madden and fifa the last couple years. personally for me, $30 for a game i spend plenty of time playing is quite worth it. I think games that are single player and really have no replay value aren't worth the price especailly when you beat them once. COD is the same way, ive gotten about $40 each a month or 2 before the new one comes out each year

100% agree, yall just aren't doing your trades right

sports games have much more replay value to me than any type of story game because of roster updates, seasons, franchises etc.

Looks like BB has officially re-upped as I checked stock this AM and most, if not all, stores in my local area have XB1s in stock. Few more weeks and I'll have mine.

Harrods, the British retailer with a penchant for making expensive things even more expensive, has introduced a version of Microsoft's console that is plated in 24-karat gold.
The price tag for this ostentatious game system? A cool £6,000 ($9,750).

Lol this is so dope. My brother showed me it the other day. I would just be worried about sending this thing in for repairs

Kind of like how COD releases the same stuff every year?

It's different for everyone I guess. The amount of time I spend playing sports games make them a good purchase for me.. cause I play seasons and associations.. I'm positive I spent more time playing them then I do anything else..plus the addition of head to head play in house for $$$ with homies and online.

same here, i'll always play games of fifa or madden regardless of what other games im playing at the moment. call of duty as well, i only get it cause me and my boys play.

i agree about a season pass type thing or an upgrade program for like $10 each year or whatnot, but since people always buy they have no reason not to release a new game each year.

COD's different since that franchise is yearly released due to there being two game devs. that are working on the games rather than one game dev.

Which is the case for most of these sports games.

I agree though COD should have something like what you mentioned considering how ridiculous their season pass prices are/pre-order bonuses.

I usually cop sports game when they're dirt cheap.

I don't disagree that sports games should have a loyalty where you buy it yearly it should be like 30.. it will probably never happen cause they'll try to squeeze every penny out of you.

But my post was mainly cause you said sports games in general are a bad purchase.. to who? Maybe someone who doesn't play them.. but if someone is getting their monies worth *shrugs*

I see your point and I agree.

Certain sport games i just literally have no patience for exp Madden. I love football but them damn games take waaay to long for me.

Hockey is the only sport game i can enjoy playing repeatedly cause its actually pretty quick games

People arguing that games they don't or haven't even played is the same every year is just silly.

Most of you guys wouldn't know because you don't even play the games that you say are the same, so just to show you how ridiculous you sound I'll do the same.

"All assassin's creed games are all the same, I literally played the first game for 10 min but that doesn't matter because all the sequels have been exactly the same."

"Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4=Shoot Aliens"

"Need for speed, Gran Turismo, Forza. Whats the point, they are all the same.  Same cars, same tracks, just driving around in circles."

I haven't played any of the games above except for assassins creed for 10 minutes but none of that matters because I've been certified by the internet to give an opinion on any and everything.

When I used to play madden, I played madden 06 to 09.

From my experience of playing those games, they were more or less the same.

I also used to play the nba live series and nba street.

Also you're misrepresenting what I said. Halo, Forza, and Gran Turismo doesn't release yearly.

Only NFS and AC releases yearly.

I was talking about sports games that release yearly where very little is updated and then they expect people to pay $60 on release date.

As carver stated, people do buy these games on release date.

Consequently, I don't see that these release date patterns changing.

In that same timeframe, 06-09 I played the Ncaa Football series and they were different(Gameplay, Graphics, In-game animations, Features) every year.

I've had every COD since COD4 and even though I only play multiplayer, they have been different every year.  I see people that say COD is recycled every year but people that actually play the game year in year out and have their favorites know better.

Also, the release dates coincide with the actual season of the game.  People want these games on release date because of trades and rookies and different changes with the actual teams.  If your not into sports you'll never get it.

I just watched a gameplay vid of ncaa 09 and ncaa 06. Both game's graphics looked identical to me. Maybe I need the games in front of me to actually tell.

I've played 98% of all cods in existence. COD is recycled. No doubt about it.

Treyarch's CODs are inferior to IW's cods.

Treyarch even used the exact same game engine that cod4 ran on.

They slapped some BS ww2 crap on it, then they were like "we're developing an all new experience!"

Given that, I still enjoy cod, but I'm aware of how this series has went down the toilet.

COD2/CoD4 were IW's best CODs imo.

All of treyarch's cods are crap to me except World at War.

Which is mainly because WAW is cod4 with some ww2 paint.

I'm aware of that.

I think that supports the idea that EA or the devs. just want to put out whatever they can come up with rather than trying to make the best sports game they can make.

Just so we're clear I'm mainly talking about EA not 2k games.

No competition got them lazy.. and I don't even want to talk about this VC crap

I've never dealt with more bugs/issues in a game than 2k on the One. Terrible experience from one of my favorite sport game franchises.

My copy of 2K finally arrived. Hope I don't regret trading the 369 version. Anyway. Add me to the GT list. Blue Magic29

Stuck on Dead Rising

Anybody that can tell me what to do once my dude "loses the truth"

I opened that storage locker with the hive head but then u have some options. I presume i goofd since theres no more missons for me to do. So how do i go back n get on the right track.

Yep, COD4=WAW=MW2=BLOPS1=MW3=BLOPS2=GHOSTS.  Same game, no difference in graphics, gameplay, hit detection, perks, maps.

We can stop here, because its starting to become obvious that you don't like anything.  Well you do like some things, you just don't respect that others enjoy things you don't.

Code for Ms. Splosion Man I won from McDonalds if anyone wants it.

whatever dude, that is the vibe you give off IMO and someone else's apparently,

this is not a generalization, that is my assessment of you based on your interactions on this website

it's understandable if you aren't aware of others perception of you though
