My boy got one with a broken disc tray, took it back the next one he got worked fine. He was kinda heated though i laughed of course. I've had mine since launch and havent had any issues.Id say its a decent console. The games that are out just arent doing much for me atm. Has anyone tried Max:The Curse of Brotherhood or that Halo game?

The power brick is the only thing shooting out any sort of noise. Otherwise it's the quietest gaming machine out imo.

As far as bugs I was fortunate enough to have none *knock on wood* there were YouTube vids of the disc drive issue.. that seems to be the only major issue affecting certain people. M$ is having you send it in and they're letting you pick a free game. When I heard that I low key wanted my disc drive to poop on me

Max is a really fun game with a less than enjoyable final boss. Good puzzles and platforming. $15 for 6-8 hours. Well worth it. Hearing mixed things about spartan assault tho

any idea when the second batch of xbox ones are dropping? any must have games (leaning toward nba 2k and battlefield 4 for now)?

Just curious- is Nyko a good brand?? The deal looks good, but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger because I've been burned on 3rd party accessories before.

Never used nyko but for half the price of the Microsoft one not bad. I just bought the MS one the wire is extra long which is a plus. Not sure how long that one is..the battery last a few days of playing with my usage but everyone is different.

Generally I would say to buy accessories that are bought by the manufacturer of said product that you're purchasing the accessory for,,,BUT m$ had the audicty to make their controllers use AA batteries.

Given that, you I think you try this 3rd party accessory. M$'s play and charge kit usually lasted a year for me and my bros. So expect maybe 1 year to six months out of use if these play/charge kits. Regardless of the fact that m$ or a 3rd party makes them.

I would definitely to wait for some reviews on amazon before you risk your purse. M$ may have done something douche like making their controllers only support their play/charge kits. Apple does something like that with their iPhones so I wouldn't be surprised if m$ Did something to the same effect.

Hope that helps.

Why don't you just get a micro USB cord and get rid of any batteries? It makes the controller much lighter (which I personally prefer) and it never runs out of juice. Distance from the Xbox and the fact that it would have a cord seem like the only drawbacks. Still, a 6 foot micro USB cable goes for less than $5. Just something to think about.

That is a nice alternative, but wires can be annoying for some people.

So basially you know nothing about the Xbox One version of the product but your giving advice.

The Xbox One play and charge just like this nyko kit is internal and goes where the batteries would be.

Any microsoft battery pack that I've ever purchased for the xbox 360 worked for the entire life cycle that I owned the 360.

I traded them all in recently and never had 1 issue with them(I had 5).

It definitely does. I was suprised myself that they would require AA batteries AGAIN with their controllers. Is it that hard to throw a lithium ion in there like the PS3/4?? :smh:

Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Joyous Kwanzaa, ect to all you Xbots. Hopefully this is the year we all get along.

Seriously though, be safe out there. Losing any of you would make NT less fun.

Unless battery packs on the xb1 work in an entirely different way than their predecessor, I think my advice still stands.

I already knew they were internal. That's apparent just by looking at that amazon link.

I've owned 4 play/charge kits for the 360.

My bros have have owned 3 in total.

All of which, lasted about a year.

Right now I own 2 play/charge kits.

1 has lasted over a year, but that's probably because I play the 360 much less than I used to.

The other one I haven't even used, since I essentially got it for free.

In short, I had a very different experience with P/C kits than you did.
