Played blops 1 a couple years ago for about a weekend

Cool to see it on BC.

Weird to see people excited for it though because it wasnt well received during the year it was out.

It came out after MW2 and most the talk about blops was that it was OD arcade-ish, they're only getting it for zombies, treyarch MP is trash, etc

6 years later and everyone wanna talk about how amazing blops 1 was.

Nostalgia is a helluva drug

It's the only achievement I'm still missing and this difficulty is insane

In addition to nostalgia, I think people just want to play the more traditional boots on ground COD games. I would honestly rather play Ghosts than AW and BLOPS 3 :x

#1 - Ghosts is still a viable option for boots on the ground. No hackers, etc. Yet its commonly referred to as the the worst cod in history.... took so much heat the year it was out. "CoD doesn't do anything different anymore". Now infinity ward is back up to bat and look what all the griping got us... infinite warfare which looks absolute :x . Im holding my opinion until i see real gameplay but i dont have high hopes.

#2 - Blops is much more boots on the ground than AW... AW was a bit OD. I personally think Blops 3 found a good balance between new mobility and boots on the ground. Quite frankly, staying grounded is a much better strategy than doing a double jump. Its literally in your best interest as a player to play the way the underwhelming yet vocal minority wants cod mobility to work.

#3 - advanced warfare actually had classic game modes where the jetpack was removed. It probably wasn't implemented in black ops 3 because of frequent 0% population pools.

Unfortunately, I think cod's movement system is here to stay for a bit longer. The reality is, the people playing them outnumber the people talking crap. Honestly, if they brought back 100% boots on ground in an attempt to make the .01% of people who complain online about it online, there WILL be something else to complain about... just like with Black ops 1, MW3, Black ops 2, and Ghosts.

Its the issue you run into when you're on top. You won't appeal to everyone and the people who are happy aren't online talking about it... they're in game enjoying it.

For the sake of the players, I hope battlefield over shadows call of duty. Activision has been comfortably at the top for too long. Its in the gamer's best interest for CoD's cage to get rattled. I dare say I want a WW2 CoD and will play it more than most the people on here who supposedly want boots on ground.

CoD is a game im very passionate about and i've been a fan since the first one on PC. They do a lot good things with the game but I really want Battlefield or some other IP to smack it around.

Oh hell yeah, me and my friends still bust BO1 Zombies from time to time. I haven't played the Zombies in BO3 but it just seems to in depth to me, similar to BO2. Just give me some simple run and gun BO1 style Zombies and I'd be happy.

Excited for Battlefield but worried EA is gonna screw it up.

They made up well when they botched the launch of battlefield 4.

EA let Visceral Games and the launch of battlefield hardline go real smooth. Very enjoyable game.

battlefront was lacking imo.

I have high hopes for battlefield 1

I had such high hopes, I thought "It's Star Wars, they wouldn't release such a small amount of content for something like this.."

Then they did. I did hear it was a lot of fun. I had a lot of friends telling me to get it, but the Beta got repetitive after a couple days playing it.. meaning if there isn't a lot of variety and unlockables to keep my interest I'd just consider it a waste of money.

I have protected high hopes for Battlefield 1, so in my heart I want it to do amazing but I keep telling myself not to get my hopes up.
