BF1 does looks great, October can't come soon enough

I liked the e3 talk.
  • Bridging the gap
  • UWP opinions. IDK if you already saw, TW3 was ported to UWP. Which is probably the most demanding game on consoles.
  • Getting shown features/games coming soon.
  • Customer talk

Appreciate the feedback!

I did see that TW3 was ported to UWP as well as a lot of negative backlash from PC gamers as to why games shouldnt be universal apps. Definitely a lot of valid points but non more important than modding restrictions. Phil Spencer seems to be pretty open to the idea of allowing modders to continue with their existing practices but as I mentioned on the show, it really comes down to execution. If its all talk and they dont execute this well, then its going to be DOA. This isnt the first time Microsoft has tried to bridge the two platforms (Games for Windows); however, this attempt seems to be off to a better start.

Also, congrats on your new PC!

Yea except for making the gpu worse so they could cost effectively sell the xb1 with kinect along wit it's ram. AND 360 from the jump in 05 had background music, matter of fact the first Xbox did too in 01... he's still got a lot of redeeming still to do wit me

So I guess its safe to assume a good bit of everybody hates fifa but is it also safe to assume everybody is picking up 2K17?

Were employed. Only hood dudes with no job play 2k
my team in 2k >> anything Foosball related

Didn't know Phil was at the helm when xb1 launched.

If you want to play that game, technically xb1 already has background music(xbox snap).

Also it's been a trend to move to the new gen regardless of backwards compatible games/features.

What 2-3 things does Phil have to implement for you to feel that he's "redeemed" *insert what you feel needs redeeming?

not at the helm, but he was head of seeing what hardware went into it like that crap Ram. forgot the proper ver of it. EB? esb? somethin

and snap sucks. affect performance like crazy, because... of hardware.

Scorpio better be on point

No doubt that the XB1 dropped the ball from a hardware standpoint but you can't blame Phil for that; he wasn't the one in charge of that decision. He was head of Microsoft studios.

After Don Mattrick left Microsoft to become CEO of Zynga, Julie Larson-Green became the head of the Xbox hardware and studios groups, while Terry Myerson was tasked with the development on the Xbox One OS.

Phil was brought in to unify the multiple groups supporting the Xbox One.

I hate the notion that throwing more hardware at an issue automatically makes it better. Software has to be properly optimized to utilize the hardware in place. Does the Xb1 have subpar specs? Yes, but it's not the only culprit as to why the XB1 is slow.

^corrext. Phil wasn't in charge of the Xbox or its hardware. He was in charge of the software. If you wanna blame the 360's end of life output in him, sure but the Xbox vision and hardware etc was Mattrick and co

Appreciate the feedback bro!

I can't remember I think it's on this episode I shouted out FH3. (Apologizes if it's not on this episode cuz I did another e3 episode and didn't release due to audio issues) but I Def mentioned it, I was impressed by the presser, not as much as you but the features are dope especially coop

I like the Xbox Anywhere feature from E3. I'm really looking into building a PC and being able to play Xbox exclusives on it is dope. I mostly use my Xbox for exclusives anyway and buy everything else for PS4. I could give the X1 to my kids and just use the PC. The best part imo is you can game with X1 players and still party chat.

Yeah that's a nice feature definitely. Probably the best thing announced from their e3 conference for me

It really didn't appeal to me at first but the more I started looking at building at a PC, the more excited I got. I'm pretty sure all first party exclusives will release on W10 too. Right now, FH3 and Gears 4 are the only games I plan on getting on Xbox. PS4 + PC w/ Xbox exclusives seems like a good combo for gaming

yeah you can't go wrong with it especially when you have a friend who has an X1 you can take turns buying games and still have access to both

You smart Dj Khaled voice.

Cats not seeing the barriers being broken with this feature

Jump party chats a lot with us via PC it's a dope feature it's low key wants me to get a rig too to use for streaming but then I can also play games from PC if interested.

My focus however is upgrading my monitor to 4K next year then Scorpio PC in the back burner if I get a promotion or something
