I made my own headset adapter not long after the console came out:

Debating if I should just get another headset for the X1 or just buy the adapter and use my TB PX4 headset. I bought the PX4 for my PS4 and its works great for me but I don't want to keep getting up to switch out the optical audio cable from the PS4 to X1 and vice versa.

Good question.. I still got credit on my gift card from when I traded in those two games and that should cover most of it

I feel you man, it's just the way my entertainment center is I have to pull out PS4/X1 just to plug in the cables. I get paranoid moving them around so much

 Ill probably just go use my BB GC today and pick up the adapter (just checked BB and they have them in stock now). That 100+ could be used for 2, 3 more games

exactly.. And this months got some good games for all consoles. Maybe not the 360 but it's getting titanfall at the end of the month and it should be good for most.

And if bb has em in stock I'll be stopping in today

Can anyone get the mic in there non xbox stereo headphones to work with the adapter??

Im using some bose MIE2 in ear headphones and so far the game audio is working but the mic function isnt working
And my headphones clearly has a mic

Any solution??

I haven't got my adapter yet but I think you have to update the firmware on your controller, have you done this?

Did you do the controller update? If that doesn't work your headphone mic might not be on the right ring to connect to the right spot on the adapter.

I am most likely gonna get the Turtle beach XO SEVEN.

But I wanna try on the Polk Audio and the M$ ones.

The M$ headset looks cheap af

the controller prompts you the update when you plug up the adapter. I did it the other day but it's making me do it again now. I hope my beats work I will try after this update.

I got the Polk headset earlier when gamestop opened. They're pretty nice. They feel very sturdy. I would say that the volume isn't extremely high but I don't play with the game very loud anyway. If you're looking for wireless then they're worth a look.

Edit: I forgot to mention the comfort factor. They're pretty damn comfortable. I played killer instinct for close to two hours with these on and I felt no fatigue whatsoever. I actually forgot I was wearing them at certain points.
