Nike Air Max 98 Retro Scheduled? via NB

Mine came in from Finishline....just FYI they run a little small just like the originals.
thanks finally some usefully info. now if they can release the superman colorway already. i was gonna buy a pair on ebay for 150 and the sole was all jacked up

What's up everyone! I always get help in the Air max threads on this site so I want to help you guys out! If you have an Eblens store in your area and are looking for both colors of the Air Max 98's they currently have them priced at $99.98! Not sure if they messed up or not but that's $60 off a shoe that just released in the last week or so. I grabbed the Blue pair about two hours ago in my tts sz 10 and they fit fantastic. Really comfortable pair!

^No Eblens where I live. Do they do phone orders or anything? I've been wanting the Volt colorway.

rell826 rell826 Im not sure who coined the phrase, but this CW can go with anything related. :nthat:

Thought about Wing Zero but thought there'd be a splash of yellow somewhere.

I doubt they do phone orders but it wouldn't hurt to try. Search http://eblens.com/locations/ and see if one will bite.

The customer service there is pretty bad but I deal with it because they always have AM1's, AM90's and other runners on sale with deep discounts. Since they are more of an urban account store a lot of that stuff just sits on the shelves.

They don't , I called already

Can someone ID the shoes in this pic? I'm fairly certain they are the Air Max 98 II... but I cannot find a picture of them online anywhere.

I snapped this pic on rerun of Cops yesterday afternoon. I almost **** when the shot panned down to the dude's kicks... I've been looking for info on these forever. I copped a pair back in 98? 99? Loved them.

you're probably referring to the Nike Air Metal Max what came out in 1997

and btw the pair from your pic is not the authentic Nike version

because the air unit in the back is not same, i think it is a knock off look a like version

from FUBU or some other brand

Isn't anyone else pained by the price tag?
If you account for inflation, these are only priced $10 more than they were when originally released, which isn't bad IMO...in 1998, I was paying $120 for the same Jordan's I'm buying for $170+ today.. These retailed for $150 in 98'...With that aside, I'd gladly pay $200 for a release with the materials and build quality of the originals- today

Just FYI with 15% off code Finish Line out the door is $136 with free shipping. Makes it a little better for those wanting to get em right away

Of course, the cost of the originals included the cost of R/D, the cost of failed designs, and marketing - all costs that don't apply to Nike Retro. But, the bottom line is Nike is a business and they will ask as much as they think they can get.

I'll wait till these hit $60-$80 mark.

Exactly. I'm not sure they'll get that low, but I'm not jumping the gun. Under $100 or bust for all colors except Gundams.

I wouldn't put them on my feet. Those are notorious for falling apart under the best of conditions and a pair that's been unused for almost 20 years probably isn't going to hold up well to use now. Sucks though since who knows if we'll ever get a retro of them.

I just got these off eBay , deadstock , u think there wearable ?
50/50 % chance that they are wearable

i would try to push my nail into the midsole

and see if the nail mark will go away and the foam will bounce back

if it wont bounce back, there is a big chance that they are unwearable and will crack like a biscuit

Foam bounced back with nail mark , give it a shot . Only cost $50 anyways

i would try them indoors first, before you go outside with them

i always do that with old shoes from 97-00

cuz when your shoes crumbled in the public, you will look like a fool tho
