Jordan Super.Fly 2 OFFICIAL THREAD

I've started to notice the flight plate is chipping on my pair and on the part of it that's on the side of the toebox has minor sole separation. It's very minor and just on the edge, but I've only balled in them about 5 times so I can only imagine it'd get worse.

Anyone else had any problems similar to this?

Lots of comments here and in Youtube about that.
It's weird how the shoe is endorsed by a "power" player.

Don't know how I missed the comments in here, my bad.

I love the shoe, but I might just have to return it. I got them for Christmas so if there's any kind of month warranty I guess it still applies. I'm not exactly sure how the waivers and stuff work since I've never returned a pair, but I'll do some research.

Do you guys think the issue may be fixed in the PO model?

The sole looks the same to me.
But I'm hoping a real performer won't be ruined by its durability issues.

I almost pulled the trigger on them a few days ago.
Not to mention they retail for almost $180 where I come from.

Yeah the problem with mine came where the flight plate intersects with the sole. I'm conflicted with what I'd do with the return, the shoe really is great and I'd love to give it a second try and hope I get better glued pair this time. I have very wide feet so this one of the few shoes I was looking at that was able to fit me well so my options are slightly limited.

If you really need a new pair of ball shoes I'd pull the trigger. I'm guessing just about all ball shoes have inflated prices so they'd still give you a good bang for the buck in your situation compared to other shoes, unless I'm wrong.

Has anyone had issues with the unlocked zoom popping? I hadn't heard of any of these issues but then it started coming up on the XX8 and Melo M10 from what I read.

Funny enough my son just bought a pair off eastbay and at his first training they popped this is 3 days after they arrived

I will take pics when I get home and post them, he also has the georgetown and christmas XX8 se kicks and hasn't had a problem with either of them

Dang that makes me nervous about busting them out too often. Thank you at least now I know that no pair is safe lol

I play outdoors so the complaints are already discouraging enough.

I'll have to wait for good feedback on the PO version. Or a different model with the unlocked zoom

That does complicate things. For outdoors I use my old OG Hyperfuses and they get the job done well.

The unlocked zoom does seem like it's technology that will be used in future models so stay tuned.

Like @Bretta  I might post pics of my pair

Strangely enough, that's almost exactly what happened to mine, without the flight plate chipping though. On the shoe that has the crack, part of the outsole which sits under the flightplate has separated, although it's only a 2-3 cm portion. I've balled in mine for a longer time, but the crack and this separation issue don't create any noticeable issues when playing.

That's pretty much the same thing that happened to mine. How early into using them did you notice that it happened? Has it gotten worse with time?

Just after 2 months of regular use (3 - 4 times a week), and I haven't played much ball in them recently since I've been in China, but 2-3 games after I first saw the separation it hadn't really worsened. I'll let you know if the crack does widen (which I hope it does not haha).

Sounds like the separation happened around the same time it did for me. I was concerned that it would widen too, but you've been playing in them for two months now and since it hasn't gotten worse for you yet I'm hoping the same will be true for me. Thanks for the info.

Just an update, the separation on my shoe got much worse and even started on the other one. I'm about to return them and sadly I think I'll have to try another shoe, I'm leaning towards the Hyperdunk 2013 or the Jordan 28 SE.

I just got back from shooting around and my left shoe the there's a bubble in the air bag it looks like.  Has this happened to anyone else??  Does it mean the zoom bag popped??  I'm curious to know because I've seen the pictures where the zoom bag popped and it caved in.

 Hi Ginwae

My son's Goergetown 28 se and black Super fly 2 both popped and had a bubble on the sole but felt flat on foot

Check the previous page I posted pics of the bubble

After all of these comments, I won't be surprised if Griffin wears a new pair per game/practice.

Hi Bretta,

Were you able to get a voucher from Nike?  I bought mine months ago from Finishline, so I was wondering how hard it would be to get a voucher from Nike.

Received a refund from Eastbay for the Super Fly's but the pop happened in the first week

Currently in the process of sending the 28's to a moderator on this forum for him to help me return them to Nike as I'm in Australia and the ebay seller won't reply to any msg's and Nike.com.au won't deal with a shoe they didn't release

Hey guys, I've had these shoes since they first released in the OG colorways. I got the grey/blue ones from the dr drain commercial, and now also have those mcdonalds colorway ones (red/yellow/black). For shoes you can get under 100 bucks, this is by far the best shoe available.

I play a ton of basketball, and am currently rehabbing an ankle surgery, so I need support. I own Lebron X, Lebron XI, 2012 Hyperdunks, Top Ten 2000s, and Crazy 8s to ball in, and then my 2 pairs of superflys.

Seriously such a solid shoe, great feel, solid support. Idk there's just something about the feel that is so perfect.

No issues on its quality? No cracking, rips, etc?

This might be a first!

Nope none at all. I guess I haven't balled in my red pair, only shot around(got them right before my surgery), but the grey and blue pair I put some work in with and they are still perfect.

If your shoes crack or anything you can just call whoever you bought from Eastbay/footlocker/finishline and tell them. I had a pair of top ten 2000s that had a lace loop hole break 5 months after I bought the shoe and had played basketball daily in them. I called eastbay and told them and they refunded me my money (woulda just exchanged but they don't carry that shoe anymore).
