NFL Week 1 In Review...

Seriously though....if Doug Martin took that **** back for a TD on that kickoff that would have been the most insane ending of all-time. My head would have exploded.
not above these two:

just filthy. pitt...please send him to NE. please

I think people bring up 6 turnover thing for the Cowboys because of how poorly they played and in all honesty were still in the game till that inside kick, which in itself was

Cowboys defense showed up, some were results of them, some cause of the giants.

Regardless, a win is a win.

But that's the problem. If you go back to last years thread of the Cowboys vs Giants, you'll see nothing of the above. The Cowboys played exactly like the Giants did last year. We committed 5 turnovers (Romo threw 3 INTS, 2 fumbles) and we were a Dez Bryant fingernail away from winning. But you didn't see the same statements you are seeing made today and last night last year when the situation was reversed. This is why the "haters" argument is always brought up.

Deadset said it best: Romo throws that INT last night (pick 6) and everyone blames Romo. Eli does it, and its the RB's fault.

It was nice to see a healthy Troy flying around. Again yesterday was no fault of the D

- Ponder and Vikings defense simply embarrassing.

- Bush was exactly what the Lions neeeded. Stafford still needs to find another WR (as in Stafford not locking in to one guy) for them to be serious. Discipline/execution issues still exist.

- Suh was given his chances. Too many incidents now for him not to be considered scum.

- That was a TD for Calvin. Makes no sense.

- Panthers will be extremely tough this year. Cam will lead a hot stretch for them somewhere in their schedule.

- Marshall been a top 5 receiver.

- Dolphins D impressed. Might be the surprise team in the AFC.

- Wallace was a bad signing. Shut your mouth.

- Still have faith in a strong season for Cleveland

- Josh Freeman is done in TB.

- 49ers vs. Seahawks next week should be extremely entertaining...I hope.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- A lot of sloppy play yesterday.

- Passing yards are thought of in the traditional sense still, but that needs to change because the game has.

- Don't like the Thursday game bs so early. 2 MNF games to open the week is fine, but only two afternoon games? Weak.

- Overall unhappy with the direction of the NFL

Cam threw a disgusting pass to Olsen up the seam in between two defenders that Olsen dropped.

And yeah that game came down to Dlo fumbling as the Panthers were driving for a score
This. Greg had 2 drops yesterday but the one you're talking about was a ridiculous pass that somehow threaded a seam.

Deangelo gave the damn game away with that fumble. Fumbled twice yesterday.

Front 7 is ridiculous and is one of the best in football, Wilson was pressured all game and made some throws out of his *** that somehow got caught

Shula called a decent game imo, conservative passing, didn't try to stretch the field with Ginn or Smitty once.

Josh Thomas is the reason Seattle scored to take the league, got burnt the play before that also. Josh Norman didn't lead the league in INT's in the preseason for this ****

And anyone saying Cam had a bad day yesterday and "has to do better" is a dumbass. You obviously didn't watch the game. He managed it a lot better and was very accurate.

why didnt Norman start anyway? love our front 7 hope the can stay healthy man. our secondary is buns pure buns. :smh:

no reason to respond to cats when it comes to Cam, they just sound like Skip and other fools. you can tell who watch Panther games and who dont.

another thing why didnt Shula take advantage of Smitty matched up against the opposite cornerback of Sherman? Smitty should be targeted 15 at less every game no questions asked.

steelers looked terrible. tomlin better get it going or he will not make it through the season.

Mike Tomlin ain't goin no where. No matter what.

na bruh. if he doesn't right this ship he will get canned. i'm talking about a 10 loss season.

They could have a 10 loss season but he still isn't going anywhere. Cowher had 3 consecutive losing seasons in the early 2000s, they kept him. Now why after 2 SB appearances and 1 SB win would they fire Tomlin? Tomlin's assistants may be gone tho

Tomlin is one of the safer Coaches in the league right now... They can go 4-12 and he'll be back next year.

just a hunch. i don't think the steelers will lose 10 games though.

- Good win last night for the Cowboys. Hoping we can continue to create turnovers like that for the rest of the season. Would've taken us 6 games last year to force that many turnovers.

- What happened to the Cowboys offense being more balanced Callahan? Romo threw it 32 times in the 1st half, and almost 50 for entire game. You just asking for teams to tee off on Romo like on that play last night when the Giants sandwiched him.

- Kaep and Anquan were ungodly yesterday. 49ers look scary good.

- Great Lions debut for Reggie Bush. Seems like he's gonna beast in that offense and Lions now have a legit weapon on offense not named Megatron.

- Steelers.

- Jaguars.

- EJ, TP2, and Geno were not bad at all in their debuts.

- Nice win for Saints, especially nice that they won with a defensive stand deep in their territory. Stephen Jackson helped though with that huge drop on 3rd & goal.

- The Seahawks struggled again on the road, but they got the win. It's got to be disconcerting though how Jekyll and Hyde they are when playing at home and on the road. The Panthers could've won that game if not for some miscues.

- Looking forward to seeing Michael Vick in Chip Kelly's offense and RGIII's return tonight.

For whatever reason, Rivera doesn't like Norman, although he blamed the TD on Thomas in the presser today. I wouldn't be surprised if Norman gets the start next week.

Rivera also said he thought the pass calls were too conservative. We should've won the game. If the defense plays like that and our secondary can be decent then we'll win a lot of games. Need another WR to step up. Having Hixon healthy would help or atleast trying to stretch the field with Ginn.
