Post your observations from Week 1...

-You dudes were going to find a way to discredit that W last night regardless.

-AFC North starts the season 0-1. That division is truly up for grabs.

-If the Jaguars and Raiders played, I'd still take the Jaguars.

-There's a good chance Ponder won't make to week 4.

-The leaders of the NFC South are back. The Falcons will finish #2.

-Either the Broncos offense will be unstoppable all season or that Ravens defense is in for a long season.

-Brady going to have to do it all by himself. Again.

-Got to do better than that Cam. Finishing games the same way like last season.

-Props to that Lions defense, 78 yards first play, 15 yards for the rest of the game for AP.

Quotes Of The Week
David Wilson....huge season.-Buc Em
I've been seeing a lot of 4th place finishes. Just doesn't make sense IMO. They deserve a little bit more optimism than just that.-Vikings fan who has never seen his QB throw a pass until yesterday apparently.
I think Jennings will start to receive more credit than he was given with Packers due to being labeled as a "System WR"-Packers fan who's still blinded.
Kaepernick gonna come back down to earth.-Buc Em
I'm looking for Wilson to have a multi-highlight game. 100+ yards easily.-Giants fan
I expect Wilson to have a big game against that cowboys defense-kid Texans fan
Giants 34-24
David Wilson 165 2Tds
-Giants fan
Agreed with those Wilson numbers.-Buc Em
If the Bucs make the playoffs....Lavonte David.-Buc Em

...and I went light on them quotes.

Two things:

1. Why do people :wow: at Andrew Luck's athletic ability? If you watched him at Stanford, you should know that he can move EXTREMELY well for a guy his size. To put things in perspective, his combine #'s were very similar to Cam Newton's.

2. Colston - one of the most underrated WRs in the league. He just flat out produces.

-CK was very impressive
-Boldin was such a beast yesterday
-Raiders played a competitive game. That's I wanted!
-TP had a solid game besides the 2 INTs

Suh just needs to be suspended for the year. He'll never get it...

I'll start with league observations since it is shorter

Impressed by 49ers and that win. Kap looked great and I'd kill for that oline
Boldin continues to be tough, gritty, and make every catch
I see these teams seeing each other in the playoffs
Clown hit by Clay. I'm all for defenders punishing QBs but don't be so obvious
Shocked Bill Leavy blew a call. How is this dude still in the league after XL?
Palmer looked decent for AZ, gives them a better shot to win than anyone else
Jags...wow
Good for the Boys to shed the 'NYG owns Jerry's World' deal
Bengals lose a game due to lack of focus, dumb penalties and mismanaging the clock. I'm shocked. That team with a John Harbaugh coaching would roll the AFC
AJ is ridiculous
Dalton had some nice throws, his accuracy is great
Lions with a good win
Bucs....oops

Steelers
Well there is a new team in the race for the #1 draft pick
I've never seen an oline continuously get worse year after year while being the focus of rebuilding. But it has happened
Isaac Redmon is worthless....nice fumble at the 5 on the only sustained drive
Pouncey is hurt every year regardless. Generally he makes it a few games
DeCastro got bowled over into him. I thought he was one of those 'safe picks'
I do feel bad for Larry Foote. Sucks he is gone all year
Ben will probably be next since he gets hit nearly every play
Defense played well and definitely good enough to win. This is an offensive issue
Worst oline AND running game in the league. Bad combo
Sadly Ben looked sharp the few times he had a moment to throw the ball. This year will be wasted for him

The future:
Todd Haley returned this year for some unknown reason. He gone
Mike Tomlin will begin to feel the heat as well. Won't be gone but the leash starts to tighten
Kevin Colbert is being exposed as a GM. I'm now convinced it was Cowher's ability to see talent which helped the team be relevant for those 15-20 years
Look to trade Ben. If full rebuilding mode is going to happen, don't waste the end of his career. I'm thinking he would do well in Minnesota?
Team is going to get rolled next week in Cincy
I will continue to watch less and less. I'd rather be with my kid or work on the house. Red Zone channel works so I can see decent football

Both of these things but yea, #1... My pops in law was eeking at that Luck run last night and I told him he should check out some Stanford highlights of him running the football and even trucking the hell out of some dudes.

Twitter chatter yesterday was that 49ers were going to "unleash" Kaepernick yesterday... Did they mean unleash his arm, or was it just a smokescreen?

Packers really missed Hayward and Burnett yesterday... Having Jarrett Bush on the field on defense is NOT the business.

Pack played a tough game anyways, great run D against a team that relies heavily on it but they got torched through the air. DL and LB's look great right now as a whole, just gotta get that secondary back together ASAP.

Getting RGIII next week running the R/O... Fully expect to win that game.

S4L's right about Suh... Dude plays dirty no matter what and im starting to think he doesn't even realize it.

Public got ***-rammed by that Bucs line... Jets still suck terribly this year.

Reggie Bush.

Suh just needs to be suspended for the year. He'll never get it...

completely agree, he's a scumbag

- felt bad for the Raiders yesterday, that was a great effort but you can tell they're a young team. small mistakes killed them, Pryor was all over the place that last drive and threw a terrible pick
- Jaguars are in for a looooooooooong season, is Chad Henne THAT bad where you keep Gabbert in? Just sign Tebow and get it over with already
- Steelers seem to be going down in a heap, that offense was horrid :x
- Bengals killed themselves with that idiotic penalty and their timeout management. Shoulda won that game, AJ Green is a BEAST
- Now I see why Megatron only had 4 TD's last season, that full control rule comes back to kill him every game it seems. Impressive game by their defense to shut Peterson down after that one ridiculous run. Reggie Bush is gonna light the league up
- Roddy White shoulda stayed his weak *** in Atlanta, he did nothing yesterday. Falcons O-Line, linebackers and secondary were getting abused
- didn't expect the Seahawks to struggle that bad yesterday but the Panthers :x, my God their offense is brutal
- Josh Freeman is terrible and in a contract year, good luck
- Seriously Joe Flacco, did you really need to hog ALL the money this offseason to let Anquan go for peanuts? Ravens offense in big trouble this year with no TE or true number 1 WR
- 49ers offense looked very sharp, Kaepernick has a cannon and he won that game inside the pocket. Packers didn't know what to do defensively
- that Giants/Cowboys game was the trainwreck I hoped for. Giants gotta sign Willis McGahee immediately, man did yall fans overhype David Wilson or what :x

TP made the Raiders exciting and had the team pumped. His arm is ehhh but he needs to keep playing.

Ravens are bad, Flacco will be reconstructing his contract soon because he doesn't deserve anything close to what he got.

Boldin will have a top 5 WR season this year. Kaep is the real deal.

Steelers are done. Getting old and just don't have it anymore.

I don't think Cam Newton is a good QB, he looks like ****.

Ponder is the worst QB in the league.

GB looked scary even though they lost.

Giants need an RB that can pound the ball and our O line is weak. Our secondary played well, very surprised with that.

I don't want to hear **** about a "free play" at the SF game. Clay Matthews swung at Stalley and didn't get flagged for that.

NO and ATL are the same team. High powered offenses that can only play in domes. Weak defenses on both teams.

Bengals look good but I don't think Dalton is good enough.

Cowboys front 7 looked good and so did their O line but that secondary was getting cooked the entire night.

Patriots do not look as good as people thought. That division is pathetic. Brady has no one to throw to and doesn't have a defense he had early in his career.

If I'm the Jets, I'm cutting Mark Sanchez. Not because I think Geno is that good but because i think the team and it's fan base needs a fresh start.

*Calvin Johnson, David Wilson, and Stevan Ridley combined for 3 fantasy points.

*Jaguars aren't that bad......are they?

*AJ Green is the truth.

*Anquan for a 6th rounder...lol

*Can't believe the Jets won that game.

*Kaepernick played as well as I thought he would.

*Reggie Bush played as well as I thought he would.

*The Bears started two rookie lineman on the left side and Jay Cutler was barely touched.

*Jay Cutler threw a bad INT, then the Bears defense caused a fumble, and Cutler lead the game winning drive.....and then the Bears with over 4 min left, ran out the clock. ..impressive.

Packers
Gotta be impressed with the Dline the way they controlled the LOS against that team.
Boldin is still open.
Offense will be fine. Expect the line to improve but not be great.
Ya it's a loss but we should settle down some. We're still in a position to win the game even with the defensive break downs. On to Washington.

- Giants looked like trash other than Nicks and Cruz.

- I expect the Steelers to fire Todd Hailey pretty soon.

- Jacksonville just might accomplish 0-16

- Fitz needs to thank the Based God he finally has a decent QB again.

-Kaep and 9ers offense looked great

- Anquan Boldin = BULLY

Free play resulted in a TD though! Can't really compare the 2

GB shouldnt have accepted the penalty for illegal formation and it would have been 4th down forcing us to kick a field goal so that play wouldnt have happened.

Seahawks
- Brutal game but happy for the W. Lynch needs better blocking cause stumbling 2-3 yards won't cut it.

-Raiders squandered a very good opportunity and yaaaay, Luck's a hero again :rolleyes Pryor showed something that Raiders fans should look forward too, but rookie pains come with that
- No one wanted to win the Giants and Cowboys game, but the Cowboys took advantage (well, eventually) of a multitude of hilarious Giants mistakes.
- Jags  Keep Gabbert as QB, cause I need the lulz to continue
- AD & Bush :pimp: I think I have Bush with 1300+ receiving yards, so here's to it
- OOOOOOOOOOOH Bucs, a 15yd penalty and Geno Smith is c-walking on Sanchez's grave
- A well deserved re-do from the Niners/Packers, very good game, but Jordy Nelson just isn't clutch enough to carry the team :smh:
- The way the Pats just stole one from the Bills....man  Amendola rose from the dead like Mike Miller and made a game-saving catch
- I like the Broncos WR core, and I'm hatin
- Ravens

--Colin Kaepernick threw for 412 yards and 3 touchdowns...........doesn't look like a guy that's taking a step this year to me
nerd.gif
.

--There was a Vikings fan recently that complained about being ranked 4th in their division.  After the play of Christian Ponder yesterday, hopefully that particular fan see's why.

--The ending of that Bucs/Jets game
laugh.gif

--A field goal kicker wins the game for the Patriots, can't say I'm surprised.

--Steelers showing their age and falling off the map hard.  Ben is going to have to scramble for his life again this year with that O-Line.

--At least the Raiders tried to contend yesterday, they might be a little better than people expected.

--Long plane ride home for David Wilson after last night.

--I for one welcome the name change for the Washington football team to the Diplomats.  I think this is a golden opportunity for the Washington fan base to atone for their past sins to the Native American community.
Refs giving 49ers a free down.
Please.  We converted a 4th down later on in the game against your swiss cheese defense.  No doubt in my mind that we could have done it again...........and again.

-Niners Defense didn't miss a beat with the new guys in the secondary...even Asomugha looked like a CB again.

-Bears should get more credit for beating everyone's favorite AFC North team...the Bengals

-Speaking of...still not sold on Andy Dalton leading that team anywhere but a 1st round exit.

-Terrelle Pryor just knows how to play football. I can't wait to see the progression he makes 16 weeks from now.

-When did Carolina get a defense? Cam should be winning a lot more games this year.

-I doubted Geno, but way to hang in there against a tough Bucs team. Props.

-EJ MANuel...very impressed with his debut as well.

-Oh and Honey Badger :pimp: kid just makes plays

Anyone want to take a stab at the Top 5 WR's? He ain't Top 5, but where does Boldin rank? He's just an animal out there :x and for a 6th rounder :smh:

Megatron
AJ Green
Dez
Demaryius
Julio

Well, that settles it... No doubt in Champ's mind that they woulda done it again...

Except its pretty unlikely that he would have gone for it on 4th and 2 from the 5 or whatever it was.  You know damn well they would have taken 3 points.

Anyways, I'm not blaming the loss on that but the game would have been set on a different path had they called it 4th and 2.  There's absolutely no denying that fact.
