NFL Week 1 In Review...

A Lions fan. *rollseyes*

Rivers being good because of his receivers. *sighs* And Calvin to Stafford is what?...Just a guy in a system that Stafford makes work?

Rivers frustrates me. Saw a glimmer of hope that he was that "elite" version of himself, but then he goes on and embodies Romo with that crucial pick 6. Gawl!

But he's better than Matt Stafford tho

RIght now I think he is. Bush is a godsend to Stafford, but it still doesn't change his bad tendencies.

Man, what's your ******g problem anyway?

Bro turn the estrogen down.

Philip Rivers is a turnover machine and hasn't been better than Matt Stafford since 2010, frankly there isn't a single metric or eye test that says other wise....moving on.

But what's your problem?

I mean...We can have a discussion like a couple dudes on a message board or you can revert back to your old **** of trying to call something or someone out by going the childish route. Estrogen. Ha. I'm tryin' to turn the testosterone up playa...You obviously got some vendetta against me. What did I disagree with you on in the past that's got you so vindictive?

I just think its comical that someone thought there were 19 better quarterbacks than Matt Stafford in the NFL and that one of them Philip Rivers.

I want to point that out to anyone who missed it and laugh.

Just like me and Buc Em got clowned for hyping up David Wilson.

You just can't take criticism from me at all for some reason.

You still guy so I'll stop.

Yeah but you weren't even supposed to see his post, because you were supposed to have retired your user name.

I prefaced my rankings with "going i nto this year.." I reiterated it because I wanted it to be clear that it wasn't how I saw the year ending nor would it be a fantasy draft list of quarterbacks. I HATE rankings, but thought it would be fun for a QB thread, so I did it. And the only people that had a problem were fans of teams who's quarterback they felt I put too low...then you. Maybe you're in that category, I don't know.

Look at my write-up in last year's QB thread about Stafford. I praised the kid, but said let's see it again if we want to say he's top 10..He fell into mechanical problems...The year before that I said "don't be surprised if Stafford puts up top 5 numbers." It happened.

It was an objective standpoint from how the year finished last year and what I thought initially going into 2013. Just don't know why a few took it and ran with it that way. That's all. I've admitted being wrong plenty of times.

And if you're clowned for being on David Wilson's bandwagon this early then that's dumb. He's going to be very good. This is just Coughlin's MO. He'll turn him around.

Safe to say, David Wilson did not "have an A-1 day!" on Monday.

You lost. Just like you lost in the 2012 season opener, and the playoffs last year. You guys have had 12 quarters of football to beat us and you haven't. Get over it.
LMAO ok buddy cause that's the point I was making. I was never harping on the loss but hey that all you take from that, somehow. But hey we both didn't win the Super Bowl last night, so those wins mean nothing last year. But hey least you beat the packers! :-D

I would be so bitter as a Chargers fan after those Norv years... What a waste of talent

I'm still mindblown that Marty got fired after a 14-2 year
No lie.

Those chargers teams had some talent, I think he just couldn't get them over the hump.

Houston looked extremely sloppy last night, Keo shouldn't be starting

Get well Ed.

Cush though

Need to get it together.
their best chances were 06-09, for some reason they thought that Norval Turner could get them further.

real sloppy win last night, but a win is a win is a win.

it's clear as day we have a lot of the same issues as last season. trouble generating a pass rush with only 4, but when we send more than 4 and play man across the board we get torched. offense plays too conservative, and helps dig themselves in holes.

-we finally started mixing up coverages in the 2nd half and sure enough started getting stops.
-finally started playing aggressive, but only after we got down 2 scores. i think we have a decent enough offensive system to let the pass open up the run.
-deandre hopkins is the goods.
-still DRE
-i hope the coaching staff looks really hard at this game and realizes how potent this offense could be if we weren't so conservative, and protect our defense by mixing up defensive looks.
