Arrogance of having a college degree

What's yhe point of having a degree if there are soo many? I'm young and everyone says that you should def go to to college, vut what's the point if even college grads can't get a job? I juat wanna weigh my options before I go into all that debt. I just wanna go because of the parties and chicks. Was never smart anyway.

If you are going to college just for that then forget about it.

My girl has a degree and I have one and I would never talk to a chick without one because we simply won't have much in common outside of talking about current events maybe.

That just means you and her are shallow as **** if y'all need to discuss degree related stuff to have a conversation.

Sounds like all they talk about is their degrees all day.. cause if she didn't have one they wouldn't have anything to talk about.

What the hell are you talking about? College was my early 20s people often talk about the things they went through during those times point blank. Chances are if you didn't go to college I can't relate to your experiences during those times outside of maybe family stuff.

Lol let me guess your one of them nT cats with no degrees making 6 figures

Point blank if dudes are talking to chicks who don't have degrees or at least went to trade schools to learn something more power to y'all lol I'm sure y'all will enjoy life time Forever 21 and H&M employee discounts

There's people who skate through college with an easy major and still finish with sub 3.0 GPAs. I'm sorry but that's not an accomplishment.

Now doing well in college and have it lead into a good career is a whole different story
Yeah your major really dictates how much of an accomplishment earning that degree is. I mean your degree in photography or fine arts is just not impressive to me.

I see where you're going with it OP, but isn't there arrogance in every field or walk of life? You have construction workers, cops and others that are arrogant and they don't have college degrees. An arrogant person is just that. Doesn't matter if they have a million letters behind their name or if they are in a particular union or have some type of power in this society.

I have a Masters, and I'm probably one of the silliest people out here. I don't look down on anyone, let alone someone that didn't go to school. It's not for everybody. But as it was said earlier, anyone with effort and some money(or credit) can go get a degree. I really feel as though college is just that time for you to grow as a person and experience new things.

EDIT: I have nothing against a person for wanting someone with a degree as their spouse though. We all have standards. I didn't make that big a deal out of it when I was dating around, but I see the need for that requirement now. My lady never finished school when she was in her 20s. She's back in a program now, but it prevents her from her dream and any significant income. Plus if your spouse has a college education, they likely went through some of the same things you went through and you can rely on those skills they picked up. Knowing what I know now, I would not get involved past a certain level with someone without a degree.

I won't knock someone's major if they excel in it and helps them get into their career

But ppl who just skate through a major without many units and barely pass haven't done anything of note

I finished school playa, probably from a "better" school than you did since I'm sure that's something you'd care about. And  at thinking every early 20's broad w/o a degree works at Forever 21 & H&M, like somebody said this thread is EXACTLY for clowns like yourself.

Are they not your homies from college or prior to that? The fact dudes in here can't comprehend what I'm getting at with "having things in common" and think I'm talking about "discussing class" I'm the literal sense further proves my point. Lol

Lol I don't care if you graduated from Harvard me and my girl got jobs and life is good. Obviously things aren't that great in your life or something if you're offended.

Let me ask you this what is a woman who hasn't gone to college or a trade school ( to become a nursing assistant, get into doing hair, etc) going to get hired as? College degrees mean nothing if a chick can't make an attempt to get a degree or get certified in something what is her purpose? You have fun with whatever women you deal with, I'm good on my end.

You're the only one who gets your point, doe.

Lucky - Repped you ... You made me feel better about my life with all your type of none sense .... THANK YOU!

LMAO!

What a MORON!

Outside of sports me and my college friends rarely talk about college.

The girls I've dated since college have all gone to college but it wasn't a big determinant of having stuff in common
