without a shot at a good draft pick anytime soon, the best player you guys can hold on to is melo (doubt you guys will throw everything away and wait all that time to tank and start rebuilding from the ground up)

if phil/melo can convince a few key guys to come over while phil trains a coach (kerr?) like pat did with spo then i can see you guys being contenders within 3-4 years

but we still have to see if phil is a good gm or not, rooting for him though

It says a lot about a person who says he's not an expert at something, but continually goes about it as if he knows what he's doing. I guess it's that "being born on 3rd base, but acts like he hit a triple" saying for him.
 
Still having a hard time digesting all the salt towards Phil coming to the Knicks. I just find it a bit much when people go out of their way insisting this was a bad move and won't turn out good. I see very few scenarios where the Knicks don't improve from this, short and long term.

I don't see what the big deal is. They're using the hype of Phil's announcement to sell some merch. That's what happens when you bring in a big name who has prior history with the franchise. Why are we supposed to be outraged?

The point I was trying to make is that franchises that are desperate will do anything to draw people in. Since in this case there is little championship hardware they have to market someone who isn't even playing to draw interest. It stinks, but I understand why it's done though. 
 
Phil won 2 championships as a player with the Knicks. If you read his books, those days are a huge part of what he writes. The throwbacks are dope

Where are you guys hearing SAS talking about the PJ press conference? I'm at my desk in my office now. No access to a TV.
 
so at this point do you keep or trade J.R Smith?

at 6 Million he's not exactly a death contract and he can still contribute
